Chris knows his shit. And Scott seems to not let KNOWING EVERYTHING ABOUT GEAR get in his way at all. But imo he's still talking over Chris' head a few times there. Hilarious. Scott is a smart dude.
Just a little info about Hopf, the maker company of the Saturn 63. It is a German company with a long tradition. Since 1669 the name "Hopf" has been mentioned in instrument making. Since this time the profession of plucked instrument maker has been passed on from father to son and is currently continued by Dieter Hopf in. Until 1948 the Hopf family lived in the Klingenthal/Markneukirchen area of Saxony/Germany. For political reasons, the family moved to Hessen before the founding of the GDR and the threat of nationalization. In the newly founded company Willy Hopf & Co. the production of woodwind instruments was started in addition to strings and stringed instruments. In 1981 Willy Hopf's son, Dieter Hopf, who passed his master craftsman's examination in 1968, founded his own company under the name Dieter Hopf Gitarren-Atelier. Willy Hopf & Co. struggled with financial difficulties, however, and had to declare bankruptcy in 1985. The guitar-making department of the company in Taunusstein was taken over by Dieter Hopf, who is still active.
Lots of laughs, this dude is cool as heck. Loved the painted pedals, very interesting to listen to. From strings, to picks, to Peavey, to pedals. Awesome.
This rig rundown is legit. The band and the host are all super genuine in their love for guitar and music. Everyone involved is the real deal. Much love and respect. 👊 Love when they discuss the Chorus effect 10/10
The Lil Trees looks just like a Hopf Twist even with the angled pickup. Kind of doubt Scott realized that His Lil Trees had Hopf roots when He scored the Hopf Saturn 63.
Cool! These guys have some really off-the-wall stuff... That the oldest Peavey amp I have seen, I bought some new ones in the early 80's that looked nothing like that one...
Gotta wonder how many times Peavey got it right, then changed and got it sort of right, then back to getting it right, then wrong. lol. Just the fact that they have been around so long, to me, shows they must know something about what they're doing. I've never owned one but I believe Scott
@@lol-zp1ps I'm retired now but back when we were playing 5 nights a week (at least) I bought thousands of dollars worth of peavey equipment over a ten year period (I got 30% off of Peavey). CS 800's 3000's and lot of speakers mains and monitors, mic's. We never had a single failure. Never blew a black widow speaker either... I ran Peavey cabs with Electro-Voice speakers on Bass. I still have two Peavey combo's... I did loose the output transistor on a 35 watt combo once and Peavey fixed it for nothing, 1 week turn around. (it was a home practice amp) I still have it!
Scott is a fascinating dude, I love the way he looks at things. Also just want to acknowledge how good of an interviewer Chris is, top stuff mate!

Beato!!!
I was looking for Pat!
Interviewer: (insert tone question)
Band: Knobs
‘Once I was able to separate chorus from 90s rock, I loved”
I felt that so hard.
I just want to be bros with these guys, so down to earth and humble. My favorite band by far
Scott has such a way with words, no wonder he is a good songwriter
He seems like he would've been a really good English teacher
“Having too many options makes me loose perspective”

No love for Eric Slick???
He politely declined our request.

This made me laugh in the best way
Dang Scott’s speaking voice really is all high and nasal just like his singing voice
Sweet bass tone!
I hope everyone understands that the Peavey bug is real… don’t get bit. Kick the hive and just stand there 😊
What are the name of the 5050 strings ? Flat wound and round wound ?
Did stewmac make bass kits once? Not a bad looking jazz bass for what was parts
Hahaha, that's hilarious Dan Bjorke's a friend of mine.
Dan Bjorke wraps his own pickups by hand.
Finally!!!
Try a sadowsky will Lee model, it's super skinny, definitely less than 1.5"
Where's Frank!?
Strymon Guy!
Lmao!
All stripped Strymons!
Visually great for this kind of stuff.
The background laugh is what got me. 😂
the guitar player looks like adam sandler and paul simon blended together.
I'm really sorry but all I could think about during this interview was Sam Rockwell
Killer
Please do Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Noel and Gem have some great, guitars, amps and loads of new awesome pedals in their fantastic boards!
I love a .73mm dunlop pick with 14-58 Ernie Ball Power Slinky 7 without the 11 tuned B to B with a G still instead of that lame ass F#.haha
Cool story
That intro had to have been recorded on tape.
Please go run down Crowder’s gear. He has cool microphones, guitars, banjos, box slide guitars, etc. analog synthesizer on stage! Please please
but his asian tattoos are perfect. nice koi!
so the bass player had to actually play a bassline to one of their songs to demonstrate his bass tone??? Thats a first lol
These guys are both the lead singers of the band.
who the fk is dr dog
Man that guitar guy Scott is soooo boring drags on about nothing
pretentious
How so?
