Hard to believe there were only 38 missions in this game. I remember it being much longer, even when you exclude the favors, side missions and DLC. Shame the sequel got cancelled, this game was and still is such a unique entry in the open world crime genre.
Wei is such a badass protagonist like John Wick.
He was brutally tortured by Mr. Tong who drilled holes into his legs, and not only did he manage to escape his restraints, but he fought all of Tong's goons and killed him as well by beating him to death all while still injured.
Then he stormed Lee's compound, killed all his men, tanked a point-blank shotgun blast, chased Lee on foot and managed to catch his boat, survived the boat crash, and fought Lee 1v1. And he doesn't end it with a cliche "You're under arrest" cop routine or an "I won't kill you because I'm better than you" bullshit, he straight up slams Lee into an ice chipper and walks it all off the next day.
It was a wise decision to leave Wei Shen alone, he could have soloed Sun On Yee a week later. I think they all know what exactly he's capable of and its best not to bother him anymore.
I never thought about it like that, that's hilarious. "Broken Nose Jiang: Wei isn't exactly the Boogeyman, he's the on you send to kill the fuckin Boogeyman."
Wei is going finish this. For Mimi. For Winston. For Peggy. And for Jackie.
For Uncle Po as well.

Such a satisfying end to a despicable villain. And killed in a brutal way as he deserved lol.
Also how durable is Wei?! Dude is fresh off a torture session, goes after the big boss. Takes a damn near point blank shotgun blast but gets up and keeps going. Wei was John wick levels of determined and PISSED.

Wei is literally a walking tank. He got cut, hammered and drilled in the leg by Mr Tong so badly, and got hit by a shotgun within close range but still gets up and slaughters Big Smile Lee.

Awesome job out there! I bet it feels great to play the definitive edition of Sleeping Dogs doesn't it? I feel really sorry for Uncle Po since he was assassinated by that big jerk and scumbag cop Thomas Pendrew, but at least the latter has met his comeuppance by being arrested for what he did. It was also a felony that he did too.
Broken Nose Jiang should definitely be the chairwoman for the Sun On Yee and I'll always respect her too.

Here's a fact: Jane Teng is voiced by Kelly Wu, who was the one that portrayed as Lady Deathstrike aka Yuriko Oyama from the X-Men live action movies. Kelly originally wanted to reprise her role as Lady Deathstrike in X-Men: The Last Stand, but after Bryan Singer left the project, she decided to turn it down and as a result the character had remained dead.

Bro forget a remake, that's wack, the game is fine as it is, they need to make part 2 instead.
@@Freshina How's it whack? It's honestly the least they could do for the fans considering they aren't making a part 2 anytime soon (I think it was due to disappointing sales). The thing is they aren't just slapping on better graphics and calling it a day. They can actually fix some aspects of the game the left a lot to be desired (i.e the Gunplay, the Puzzles, etc) and they even tweak major plot points.
Since United Front Games became bankrupt in the year 2016 they would have to hire a new company to work on the sequel such as Deep Silver.

Overhated? this game was unknown AF at the time, it literally started being more well know lately.
It actually did quite well, especially with reviewers. It just came out at a bad time as hype for GTA 5 was building to crazy levels. Once GTA 5 came out it was pretty much the nail in the coffin for other crime games...sadly.
You know, I always wondered why Wei couldn't use the police... Corvette... Nissan?.... in the DLC as an actual cop.
