Great recipe and these are delicious! My S.O. made these for me 2 days ago and I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I believe these have increased my supply! I pumped a little more than I usually do and I hadn’t kept up with my water intake the way I was supposed to today 😱 convinced it’s this deliciousness. I wanted to find a recipe without brewers yeast myself because it gets mixed reviews. I’ve never tried it myself but didn’t want to risk it upsetting mine or my baby’s tummy. Thanks for this yummy recipe, will definitely be making more really soon with a definite update!
Yay! So glad you like them and that they’re helping your supply 🙌 💜 I wasn’t a big fan of brewers yeast either so I tried a few recipes when my baby was a newborn and finally this one helped 😊 Wishing you and your little one all the best 💜
These cookies are so easy to make and actually yummy! It doesn’t taste like I’m eating a “lactation cookie”?! Just eating to every morning has increased my milk supply so much! Thank you for this recipe! Also I did 2/4 cups of chocolate chips and 1/4 cup of butterscotch chips. They were so yummy!
Wow this is a nice recipe without yeasTt.I tried it with few changes it came out really well.Instead of plain flour 1 1/2 cup,I add 1cup oat flour ,1/4 cup almond flour ,1/4 cup pistachio flour,1Tbsp plain flour. Yummy .❤
Just made this recipe with few substitute (butter replaced with coconut oil, both sugars with coconut sugar and plain flour with oat flour) with same measurements. Turned out great. Thanks for the recipe
Made them today and loved it! I’m all for the crunch so I used some coconut oil and some butter! I didn’t have those chocolate chips so I used mint chocolate bar and cranberries and hubby ate four lol! I love it and can’t wait to do some more with the remaining dough weekend! Thank you!
OMG it’s funny you say you put cranberries in them because I am obsessed with cranberries and I just made the same recipe and added white chocolate chips and cranberries in mine yesterday! I’m so glad you and your hubby love them! 💪
@@SarasBites well I ended up doing a second batch that very same day! It was a hit! Had four more remained and I just had two and hubby wanted to know if he don’t eat cookies too lol! I have a small amount of dough remaining that I plan to use tomorrow but I’ll be making more as well!
Idk if you’re going to read this but I made these today!!! Omg!! Delicious!! I added toasted pecans to the tops of the cookies!! I love these cookies!! Thank you for sharing your recipe!!
Hi! I’m so glad you like them! And the toasted pecans are such a good idea on your part, I toast those and hazelnuts all the time at home ☺️. So happy you like them! 💜
Baked these for my best friend who just gave birth. I tried one cos I wanted to make sure it’s cooked through. This is soooo heavenly. Glad you made a recipe that didn’t call for brewer’s yeast. Hope you make more recipes!
so i didn’t have any baking soda so they got made without it, and i only had salted butter 🤷🏻♀️ 😂 the chocolate chips i used were ghirardelli’s 70% dark chocolate chips bc the less caffeine i take in the better and i like dark chocolate way more, they are flatter so they melted way better and tasted great. i also added unsweetened coconut flakes and they were amazing as well. they’re thicker bc of the way i rolled them and lack of baking soda, but all in all they’re amazing.
Ok so I made this recipe and it was great. I see why you said let it chill in the fridge for a little bit ( I would let it go in the fridge before trying to make the cookies because it stuck to my fingers) but it may be because of my chances. So I substituted the cup of butter for 6tbs margarine and 2 tbs cocunut oil( semi melted ). I added two dashes of cinnamon powder and I used 3tbs of organic ground flax seed. I also put the chocolate chips in at the very end trying not to manipulate them and the dough any further. They came out perfect just like you said on 350 for 12 minutes. Thanks my daughter will love these and they are way cheaper than buying them from the store 🤔🙄🤨🤪😊💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽🤫
Sorry for the late reply, we’re on vacation so I’ve been staying off my phone 🙈. If you replace the butter, I’d use 1/3 c coconut oil but honestly they won’t taste the same. Coconut oil is pure fat and butter has liquid in it so with the oil they’ll be more crunchy and taste super coconut-y. But if you rather just add some to the recipe, do 1/4 cup butter and 2 tbsp coconut oil. Just try to shape them a bit taller bc they’ll flatten out while baking bc of oil :)
I’m not a breast feeding momma I’m trying to get milk so I can simply donate my milk and my bf agrees it’s amazing he said all’s I do is pump 4 times a day at 5-15 minutes and relax and milk should come eventually is this true?
@@SarasBites i found a similar recipe to yours in a magazine a couple years back with bacon bits and corn flakes when i had my twins and felt like it helped add in those extra calories i had a hard time consuming! Your recipe is quite similar and super delicious!!
Hi, i just made this recipe this morning and its delish... but i change the all purpose flour to almond flour. The result is abit chewy and soggy.. isit becuz of the temperature not high enough?
So almond flour is a bit more moist than all purpose or wheat flour so I could see that happening. And the ratio wouldn't be the same, I'd assume you need more almond flour compared to all-purpose. What temp did you use?
@@SarasBites yeah.. i use the same temperaturr for the first batch. The second batch u use 200c which is around 392F. Inside soggy, but the outer part is good.

Are you putting one whole stick of butter? I know it says 1/2 cup and that is usually one whole stick but in the video it looks like you are only using a half of a stick.
Hey! So that is half a cup which with this brand was one stick. Some brands have those thick sticks of butter so it looks bigger and then there are those longer, thinner sticks. I know it’s weird 🙈
When you add the ingredients after the eggs and butter, don’t mix more than 30 seconds bc at this point over mixing will ruin the softness of the cookies :)
I didn’t breastfeed but did pump exclusively. I ate two a day and drank body armor so one or the other definitely helped. Or maybe combo of both. Plus they’re yummy

How many days can you freeze them and after freezing do you need to thaw them?
Hi! You can freeze them for up to 3 months and pop them in the oven frozen as well. You just may need to add a minute or two extra for bake time :)
Does it help to boost milk supply without the brewer's yeast? Because it is one of the main ingredients for the purpose
Yes because the oatmeal and flax help a ton as well. I don’t like brewers yeast and didn’t use it but you can always some :)
