Hey so I'm having a dilemma. I been a contractor for about a year n half making about 60 k in a position I really wasn't qualified for to begin with I have been getting lots of experience due to people being on maternity leave etc so I really like my position and feel like I'm being developed we'll currently my manager is on maternity leave as well as another girl on my team so my duties have increased as I was asked to fill in where the gaps are which helps me on my resume long term but I had also been applying for permanent jobs with the same company and I have an offer on the table the job is more duties etc and not really in the same align work I want to be in but it's permanent I would have benefits and be with the same company only con would be not knowing what to expect whether the team is a good team etc. and that is not completed aligned with my career goals now the job is the same salary grade but It's about 3 dollars more. I only have 3k in debt so that's not a major factor. My question is should I stay put for now being I have taken on these extra duties while my manager is out and they can really help me gain the experience I need or should I take the permanent role. My current role they always say it's the budget and that is why they haven't hired anyone permanently

I will stay at the current if im in her shoes. The stress at the new job will be detrimental to your physical health and mental health. Believe me, im in this situation at the moment. I hate my new job and I can’t jist quit bcz of financial obligations. I dread going to work everyday, i literally have anxiety because of the work itself. It’s mentally exhausting. The pay increase for something stressful is not worth it. It’s better to take the slow pace to pay off your debt. I can’t turn back time. Im crying everyday because i hate this new job.🥺😩

Youll be better out of that job but before you quit make sure you find something withing your área of expertise ,your passion , or your talent. You don't have to leave your Energy doing work you never planned to do. Life Is too short to be miserable in such stressful anxiety- provoking and frustrating job that makes you feel miserable every Time you think about it. Dreading to go to work Is a sign that you shouldnt stay there. Move on to your next job where you can enjoy inner peace and protect your mental health.

People need to understand that money can be made and saved in many different ways outside of your day job. I had to make a decision to move to a different company for more money and more responsibility doing a similar job role. But, I'm happy and progressing albeit on a smaller salary! But I do side hustles, that allows me to be financially secure. Money CAN'T buy TRUE happiness.

It took me so long to figure this out. You can't leave a job you hate until you find another one and have a start date. You have to follow the baby steps. It sets you up for dealing with disaster later down the line. Right now I'm getting certifications and saving my 6 month emergency fund so I can be prepared to move on to something better. You gotta stop and look further down the line.

If your financial is stable, do what you like. Take comfortable one and less stressful. If you’re not in financial stable, take that stressful job with higher salary. But if your coworkers aren’t good and can’t do a teamwork, blame you instead of teach you how to fix, that’s another story

This is similar situation it's like working for charity you will not be paid regardless of how hard you work if you have money or if you don't I'm sure the cost is good but the person must live and money can buy a lot of things that can give life to people.

Great question! I have been examining life after More duties and higher pay. You really have to do things to protect your mind, health and personal life. I mean a plan too!! I did not have one in the beginning and had problems. I do now and much better. You gotta have a plan and stick to it. And as he said also look for what really brings you a thrill to do in your career.

You and I sent are mentioning putting the money in the right place well if she wants to grow and go into harmony status she needs to she needs to control her expenditure and when she controls that she might not even need to go after the bigger money and if she does it will definitely be a good thing also but she her problem is not how much money she makes the problem is how much money she spends that is obvious

Sounds great, but trading one type of stress for another isn't the right thing to do either. The stress of not being able to pay one's bills is just as stressful as being stuck at a job one hates.
I would never advise someone to take a lower paying job for "satisfaction's" sake if taking that lower paying job would cause him or her to struggle financially. My advice would be to set some personal boundaries at work and pick up a hobby or volunteer to create satisfaction outside of work.
The job doesn't have to be "the end all to be all". You are lucky if it is. It's okay if the job is JUST the means which enables you to do this or that. The job should not BE your life. If your are unsatisfied with your life, there is no joy in it, the job is not the problem.

This is a little bit out of place it like Grandpa and Grandma they have money in the bank and their house is paid for they don't have to worry about money they have money they have to worry about their health you see money is not the reason no more but as long as money is the reason the person cannot afford to work for less must continue going higher higher money I mean regardless of how much stress or strain
