Man I read a review saying this show was bad. These guys deliver every night. You also put the age of the musicians in the back of your mind because they are playing of the highest level of talent ever. This is getting your money's worth. Remember No backing ANYTHING
I read that review. Honestly think it's just one of those "I'm cool because I'm jaded" people. He admitted that musically it was good but his tastes had changed. Well, whatever. Good for him but I don't think it's really the knock on the band he thought it was.
I mean lets be fair, Kiedis sounds terrible without autotune and lots of engineering of his vocals...sometimes he is so off key and sounds so bad its frankly, jarring to listen to. The rest of the band are actually decent live. But no way are they "great" live.

john's mastery over the very concept of the guitar solo is something to study. as good as he was back in the day, it seems as though he's better than ever.

This was my 3rd RHCP concert and by far was the best one. The set list was killer with Havana Affair, Soul to Squeeze and Parallel Universe. The band was tight as never before.
Honestly as a life long Chili Peppers fan (I’m 48) something has been a little off these last few shows. It could be they are tired as the tour is almost over or Frusciante is gonna leave again. Don’t shoot me; just my take

I saw them June 18th in WPB, Florida and the music was okay but zero crowd interaction, mic drop and lights on. I have seen a lot of concerts in my life and though I love their music it was underwhelming especially for the very high ticket prices. I don't know why they wear the same clothes all tour.

It's changed, the albums were released in the same year, and even if it were, they only played three of the album you mentioned and there were several shows that only played one, I'm a big fan of the band, but in relation to that they leave a lot to be desired, the The right thing to do would be to focus more on new songs live, old songs only include about four and if you want to see them, go to TH-cam 🤷🏻 my opinion 🙂

Go watch a prince guitar solo and come back and watch any of John’s. He can’t actually solo at all. He’s just doing hammer ons and making faces. He also isn’t doing anything melodic, that’s precisely my criticism. Anthony and flea are doing all that.
