I'm just so thankful that things turned out this way. So many other reunions ended up being complete duds, even with all original or popular members being present. However, our boys sound amazing. This also proves that they're not merely trying to cash in on nostalgia. They're 100% serious about this.

There is an audience. Howard reaches millions of people. Just because there's no audience directly in front of them, doesn't mean people aren't listening. They know that.
I’m just so freakin’ glad that John Frusciante is back. I had nothing against Josh Klinghoffer, but John is… well, just that. His Jimi Hendrix/James Brown influence defines the RHCP’s sound.
I’ll never get the nothing against josh thing.... he wasn’t a good fit for the band. Those two albums are pretty bad. Doesn’t mean he’s a bad guitarist just wasn’t a good fit. Had he been there at the start they may have never been where they are now. Just facts.
I like the way John is really reserved compared to the other 3 but the band just absorbs it. They dont try to change the guy. Everyone is themselves in rhcp. A really raw and genuine band for sure. I hope John stays till they retire.

I truly don’t understand how anyone could dislike this. It’s like a fucking explosion of energy. John’s second solo is fucking insane and the amount of improvising from Flea and Chad going nuts. It’s just pure love and energy.
A timeless classic. Great groove and power through simplicity. No background vocals. No background keys or synth. Just the four of them keeping it real and simple.
Watching them perform their classic songs live, it strikes you how purely the songs were recorded. Hardly any overdubs or excessive effects. Just the sound of four guys in synch with each other, in love with what they do, and having it perfectly captured by a team of respectful technicians.
I remember one time I picked my daughter up from school when she was in 3rd grade. Her teacher asked to see me after school because she had some concerns about some things my daughter was saying in class during times they were supposed to be quietly reading. My daughter and I sat down with her teacher and she began to explain what the issue was. Apparently my daughter was quietly whispering the lyrics "what I got you gotta get it put it in you" while she would be reading or drawing. The teacher began to explain how inappropriate that was and that she shouldn't be saying that at such a young age and how I need to monitor what she watches and listens to etc. While she continues to ramble on I just quietly turned to my daughter, with arm extended and fist closed tight she proceeded to give me the most epic fist bump. God I love being a dad!
Freakin' awesome. I may have to watch this 2-3 times a day until I am 6 feet under. How can one not enjoy this performance? Just picks up my day folks - dudes are jumping around and performing like it's 1991 again.
He plays much better when he is, let's just say, not so much under the influence. This was taped during the day and they all seemed to be bright eyed and bushy tailed.. Especially, Flea(Michael Peter Balzary). Ever heard him play trumpet? Australian born.
Howard Stern has the best audio mixer in the business. The separation and clarity between instruments is excellent! Not even the two "Jimmy's" music guests sound this good.
I was never a fan of the RHCP back in the 90’s, or even now for that matter, but I would be an idiot not to acknowledge greatness when I see it. 30 years later and they’re still playing that song the way it NEEDS to be played: balls to the wall. On that razor’s edge, absolutely NOTHING held back. I’ve never seen them do it better. Incredible performance.

I was never a fan of the RHCP back in the 90’s, or even now for that matter, but I would be an idiot not to acknowledge greatness when I see it.
30 years later and they’re still playing that song the way it NEEDS to be played: balls to the wall. On that razor’s edge, absolutely NOTHING held back. I’ve never seen them do it better.
