This is probably the best live performance of Soul to Squeeze in RHCP history. Listen to that intro, John, Flea, and Chad are locked in note for note. It was perfection.
I can hear myself scream SCAR TISSUE after the tease and SOUL TO SQUEEZE at that tease. I've been watching videos to know what to look for. They talk to the signer and cut off the little Soul to Squeeze intro jam but Im so happy I heard it. I saw them first time at US Bank and they didn't play it. Got to go to Target Field first time ever next day and saw a crazy game. As a Brewers fan I was happy. Both teams combined 7 homers!
I’d agree and say that’s very good especially John! But for me Burgettstown pa and hershey was better imo . I’ll admit a little jealous he got to hear them play This note for note, but the solos for that song plus the little improvs John Chad and flea did at my shows were insane! Not to mention Anthony nailed it! Literally felt like I was in the 90s listening to it live haha!
I don’t know what sorcery was used for this audio, but it’s the best audience recording I’ve found by far. Thank you for posting something I can tolerate listening to

I think it's because his audio problems, since the beginning he had a weird noise in his rig and even had to stop for a moment to check, at the beginning of Eddie he tried to fix it and gave up.
Nice Angus Yum tribute in the opening jam. Where he does a little almost like one handed pull off. It was exactly like Angus’s live solo that he’s been doing since the 70s. 🤘 ❤️
Chad Smith was born in st. Paul. I grew up in mpls, but I prefer seeing them in st. Paul. I saw them at US Bank stadium last April. That place wasn't designed for concerts, unlike the xcel energy center. I saw them there in 04 and 06.
Not too mention the tempo. I can't tell if they intentionally dragged and Anthony wanted to speed up or what. Came out great but definitely slower than what I'm used to
he's allot older than he was when he wrote the riff and we've seen he's had some issues with his hands/arms this tour, don't blame him, it's difficult to maintain that arpeggio 🤷🏻♂️
TL/DR I was there and it was insane the whole fest. I had a great weekend.. I can hear myself scream SCAR TISSUE after the tease and later SOUL TO SQUEEZE when Flea teases it after Eddie. 😮I was there in the aisle across from the guy who was recording this! I recognize you from the profile pic. Thanks for this! Such great quality! I can show my dad now I'm so happy you did this! The Black Summer solo was INSANE and I didn't get it on my phone! I saw them first time at US Bank last year but this was way better. Minus the 36 dollar 12 oz margarita! It was a warm one but I stayed in 6th row from 3pm to end of the festival.. well worth it! Got to scratch Offspring off the bucket list too! And as a Brewer fan I got to see us beat Twins 8-7 and see 7 total homers hit the next day! First time at Target Field too! I had a great weekend! 😊
@ToshiAizawa I live here in the twin cities, but I've never been to target field either. The owner of the team is too cheap to invest in players, and I refuse to give them my money. Ironically they're the only pro men's team to win a championship since 1991.😠 I was 7 years old and it was my second year in the US.
Is it me or is John like the Michael Anthony (of Van Halen fame) of RHCP with his back up vocals ? Seriously. If those are his LIVE vocals, he sounds REALLY good.

I think the biggest con about a chili peppers show is they have a ton of hits, but also a lot of deep cuts that people love, so trying to balance doing both while also trying to at least play 2 or 3 songs from the 2 new albums (even if not as many people enjoy them, maybe they enjoy playing them), and it can be hard to make an hour and a half setlist while balancing all three thing every night
