Definitely one of the best. Not her debut, but I would strongly recommend Rhythm Nation - janet. - The Velvet Rope with Janet as one of the best runs also.
Agreed!!!
Yes, Diary was good and very different from her other album before it. But to answer your question at the beginning, my favorite R&B artist is Brandy, and her third album, Full Moon, was amazing.
full moon is amazing.
never say never, full moon and afrodisiac said hey girl
EDIT: what’s the 411, my life and share my world too
that 3 isn’t brandy’s first three albums, i’m discussing first 3. also not as mainstream as alicia’s 3.
mary j’s debut was very early 90’s. in the video i ✨ specifically ✨ discuss 2000’s style music … not the 1990s. even if i was talking about 90s, it would be Mariah Carey. love her tho!
@@diaryofpaigehatalyn man, I grew up with Alicia Keys? As I am came out when I was nine, how old are you? What year were you born?
@@123theprodigy5 I was 3 when As I Am came out, I kind of remember being introduced Alicia Keys around 2009 when I was 5, but I became a super fan and started studying her music in 2018.
Waiting For SZA's third album tho...
oh for sure. she got it.
You make a fair point! Maybe I need to give the "Diary" album a relisten and see if it'll grow on me. It's definitely surprising that you find Sasha Fierce a hard hitting Beyoncé album when it's considered her worst by most beyhives.
you know, i hate the IASF disrespect cause it’s soooo good. i have to know why you didn’t like diary as much!
@@diaryofpaigehatalyn I honestly found the album too underwhelming at the last half for me to really like it, but I still liked some songs there
Alicia is Loved 😍
U gave a good point
ik we’re talking about debuts, but you should consider doing beyoncé, lemonade and renaissance. probably one of the best and impactful three album run of all time
Bey is actually next. I’m making a vid on her best album. posting the trailer soon ✨ I for sure agree with you on that run, it was amazing.
2:05 Meshell Ndegeocello says hi.
she's great! most of her mainstream, billboard success was in the early 90s, and she's credited much more for neo-soul. i was talking about the mainstream sound of r&b in the very late 90's and early 2000's specifically. Alicia's music was consistently mainstream, from debut to third album and her sound was different from any other mainstream r&b artist.
@@diaryofpaigehatalyn In that case, fair enough. Good video.
I also agree with the Beyonce opinion as well
Love you kost beautiful Alicia. 🐑🐑🐑🐑😁😁😁😁❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋💋💋
Here are things , your daddy Jack is Dust, InLevi am the new Daddy, and we are all girls as I'm straight and I don't rale children like Jack did. Love you most beautiful Alicia. ❤️❤️💋
Love you
Keyshia Cole
Mary J did it first
beyoncé albums were pop albums that were infused with r&b, so while her albums were amazing, i don’t consider them r&b and they aren’t apart of the conversation with 3 r&b album runs
Keep it coming
I see your Alicia ……..I raise you
TLC
Toni Braxton…… If we talking debut
Janet Jackson has THE strongest run of any female artists IMO
i’m talking about first 3 album run. there are great debuts of course.
@@diaryofpaigehatalyn
Toni Braxton - Self Titled
Toni Braxton - Secrets
Toni Braxton - The Heat
TLC - OOTTT
TLC - CSC
TLC - Fanmail
Love your video on Alicia BUT i’d argue these were stronger 😊
@@DaymoJH my video is about me believing Alicia’s is the strongest, she’s a solo writer as well as a producer, a lot goes into why i think that. her debut song was solo written, which went #1 her second single on her sophomore was also solo written and produced- and also the first solo written song to reach 1 billion streams. she’s the highest selling female r&b artist of the millennium. i like writers and producers, artists that can do that solo.
in my opinion, there are few artists that can’t write and produce at least a few songs on their own that deserve any title of “strongest.” when it comes to creating albums.
@@DaymoJH i do appreciate your thoughts though! ⭐️
Male R&B isn't dead ......I rebuke that !!! Y'all stay going in on the guys ..... it's tiring and annoying
mind you, you can GOOGLE male r&b of the 70s and 80s and the major success of those men. and in the 2010’s you can’t. open your mind to logic instead of commenting, “tired and annoying”, name 3 male r&b artist that are topping the charts right now … right
but, i can name 3 from the years ‘70 to literally ‘99. y’all know EXACTLY what we mean when we say that! don’t chose to be dense.
@@diaryofpaigehatalyn I'm not choosing too be fucking dense male r&b isn't dead y'all just lazy and don't want to find new artists to listen too..... y'all listen to the same five people and then say music is this and that do you even have any talent in music ??? And then a new artist arise here come the fake critics talking about they vocals and saying they an industry plant and all this other bullshit ..... And here comes the fake executives talking about oh I see no longevity ohh he will fizzled out oh he will flop this what y'all do but u say music is dead or this or that so please stop the fake outrage
