I just started okinawa Kobudo. I am a white belt and we can use tonfa, boken, nunchuc, bo, sai. Also unarmed.It is very hard all different weapons. I like it very much.

Belts are a joke ! I see so many women getting "Black Belts" ! Its a big joke for real talented people who deserve one. Its also a money making scam. My little daughter broke a board when a white belt with her elbow. They wanted $35 for her to get her next (yellow) belt and wanted her to hand over her white belt. Probably to sell it to the next sucker ! ! I said NO THANKS. They asked me too. All I had was a few lessons and I qualified for a yellow belt ? What a scam just to make more money ! We quit that place after that !

It depends on Dojo, please understand that.
Unfortunately, I know that there is Dojo like you belonged.
They hold exams only for money...
