The fish cakes are specially thin and nice 👍, the bean sprout very crunchy and kway teow mee soft and nice. Not too oily and not dry. Special indeed...
I tried the food when he started out almost 50 years ago in Outram Park. There was a Chancellor Departmental Store and a Chinese traditional medication store which doubles up as a courier service for parcels to Hokkien, China. I remembered there was a rojak store and a Mee Pok store operating together. His hair was well groomed and he looked handsome for a food seller.
That is very true. I got the skill of cooking a dish from my mother and ended up that mine was better than hers. So my brothers and sisters and even my daugthers ask me if I can teach them acook the dish. I taught them exactly how I do athe technique with no hidden secrets nor recipe but still they can not get the taste of my dish. They claim my technique maybe of cooking but I show it to them step by step no skipping!
Alas, thank you covid, not a chance in hell of getting back to Singapore this year. I am definitely in Singapore withdrawal at this time. This video did not help...Take care, all of you on the other side. Dr H from the US.
so much respect for Mr Ng when i am in Singapore i always search for these hawker master to try their food the flavours are wonderful and so cute he said he wants his youngest son to take over but youngest depise the hawker trade and wants to do something big maybe try your eldest son he could be proud of selling food with you.
No matter michelin or not, they still selling in hawker price, that won't get him rich or what, but the customer flows come like this, his body soon can't take it.
Why go Penang? You already hv yr own version and most of you do not like our slightly sweet version. I am glad that there are many tourists who enjoy our CKT.

Really very nice!! Love it!! Thank you for the hard work, Sir!! Respect!!
Respect. Hawkers and cleaning facilitators are the hardest working people.
I respect this man for his hard work. Wake up so early to prepare his fried kuey teow.
very touching video! thank you
Havent had this for 2-3 years. Every time go there look at the queue give up. It's very yummy. Not doubt about it
My favorite CKT stall. Their CKT taste good even when turn cold.

Me too. Started eating at Outram Park in the early 70's @30cents. I always bring along my own egg and plate for takeaway.
Really praise you uncle...
Where is this stall located? In the old outram Park or the new premise? What is the stall name? Thanks!
Hi Audrey,
See info about the store here: guide.michelin.com/sg/en/singapore-region/singapore/restaurant/outram-park-fried-kway-teow

Agree with other commentors here. Don't have high expectations if you buy during lunch time.

300 plates sold in a day 😃😃

Sedapnyaaaa
Loved their Fried Kway Teow most delicious and taste good even when cold. I alway order with extra cockles
delicious!
Rest 2 weeks..go travel..enjoy..
Do the Maths. 300 plates per day. A thousand dollars a day. Awesome.
In the 70s, there was this young uncle who sold delicious CKT for $1 per plate, at Toa Payoh Lor 1. He could afford to buy a mercedes-benz.....
Penang has the best CKT
Don't think so
Agree.
I love it
thebestoneandonly best CJT Wainthe hillstreet foodcentre i could itit every dinner

Michelin guide for Singapore Fried Kiay Teow? Putting taugeh as the 1st step means taugeh overcooked at the end n became soggy.
No matter michelin or not, they still selling in hawker price, that won't get him rich or what, but the customer flows come like this, his body soon can't take it.
Disagree , he didn't take very long to fry everything together. The taugeh should be just nice.
It’s a pity the son don’t want to take over.
well done! michelin please dont come to penang

Wait....sorry is this a Michelin star cook???

Yummy 🤤
Fry the pig oil..popping out the oil..
fear..get burn..
Son help yr dad fry 🐷 oil..tedious job..yr dad old age back arm pain..
slower pace..hot heaty body cannot take it..
put fan blow him..too hot faint..no ventilation..
uncle queue up buy food fainted..too many ppl crowd together..cannot breathe..not enough fan..
What you see is a hawker, what I see is a millionaire....
👍🏻
Since when? It also depend on when u buy yr noodle
@@tyuuio85 well, thats just one of the reason for tasty food
All the hawker is hard work, much thing to prepare from morning till late, but earn not much, eventually still ruined the health 😢
Come penang eat.... U know what is original char Keow teow.. Hahahah
Looks sticky and oily , doesn't looked like the usual Canton stir fried.
Omg.... a good & tasty plate of CKT should be fried a plate portion each time & not mass frying 😨
Did u watch the video with eyes & ears?
Have you ever even tasted their ckt!
Hard to believe people Q for this, look at how he "Fried" the messy stuff, what a joke!
"Wok Hei" home boy
Yes, the food in the cooking process might not be appetising but the finished product is yummy!
if people actl q an hour for this it shld be good use some sense
Glad u dont like it or the q will be longer
Haha...... go find out what is "wok hei"
Why too hard? The son is to lazy and complacent in his comfort zone. I would have hired cooks and open 30 stalls in the malls around singapore
Did he have a stroke or something?
