We live in echo chambers..... That is so true... Being an Indian the professions that I was exposed to were either a Doctor or an Engineer..... We lack exposure.... If we get the exposure maybe we can have fewer unemployed and well educated individuals....
The only way to find yourself is to endure the pain of feeling lost in the beginning. Only a few are courageous enough to escape from the herd, but it's because they realize a life of confusion is 100 times better than a life of following rules.
We're blessed with freedom of so many options that we feel lost. Centuries ago people were what they were born into almost 100% of time, and they never felt lost.
Yes I agree - I don't like the idea of being told how to be and how I should act to be accepted in society but I would certainly say I'm a confused individual because the rules I am being told to live by don't feel right to me. In my personality I'm never going to do what doesn't feel right regardless of what others say but I'm just looking for a life that's true to me and not being influenced by what others say or try to push onto me. But I agree I'd rather be confused then live a life of following rules because I don't like the feeling of being controlled.

I can relate to this 100 per cent. I had a dream of becoming a football player. But I could not. I wanted to have a partner who loves me. Recently, I met a girl who fits perfectly with my ideal, then, she indirectly said I was not good enough for her. Now, I'm exist but not living, it get even worse when my parents say I should have achieved everything within 20 years. In the morning, I just do not want to wake up because my dreams are the only place I want to be without obligations. I tried every single motivational channel now they can not do anything to change my internal condition. I hope everybody finds his/her passion. Otherwise, I would say ending up like me is dying before an actual death.

Do whatever makes you happy, your mental health is more important Than anyone's expectations. if the path that you're on hurts, than stop walking in it. I've been forced my whole life to do what my family wanted me to do, but not anymore.
I have found that so long as I focus on doing what I love and taking consistent action, then my life continues to improve. I started my TH-cam channel a few years ago, but didn't get around to uploading videos until a few weeks ago. Since a started uploading the results of been so rewarding.

In India, specially North India the government approved for thousands of engineering colleges. Because, it is a trend here in schools and colleges that you only get to choose to either become a doctor or an engineer (many high schools have only these two options, they don't even have commerce, music etc. etc.) to have a good well settled future. And as a result there are millions of graduate engineers who are still unemployed or employed in a MNC which they even know that they won't be doing the same for the rest of their lives. This happened because the government didn't had any plan to what would those engineers do when the time comes. And now, the college degree is just a piece of paper for eligibility to apply for exams to get in jobs which have nothing to do with engineering whatsoever. That is the sad truth and our fate. And I am one of those millions.😔 And my answer to this video is NO.🙄 I don't want the life that people around me want for me.🤐
HAWK the WISE its a problem throughout the world. There are very subtle society’s expectations for eg. the latest trend being that of entrepreneurship and boss lady for women. This message is continuously drilled into us by media and ads looking to profit themselves. Long time back there was the pressure to have a 9 to 5 career and that was considered the “in” thing. Now its the same thing with entrepreneurship. 90% people who want to be entrepreneurs these days don’t really want that lifestyle. Its just an infatuation. Did you know long time back like in the 50’s maybe working women were looked down at as outcasts abnormal and being a homemaker was the ideal...now if a woman is a homemaker she is looked down at and she must have a career. So this is just society’s herd mentality and sheeples will follow without questioning just like how fashion changes every season and sheeples will follow it but real classy person will stick to the classic to the eternal
Looking into the future is a great idea, however, it’s not quite that simple. Unfortunately, as much as we shouldn’t have to identify ourselves as a profession, or job, etc., we kind of have to. I was on the fast track right out of high school into the “profession” I envisioned myself in, that also was in line with the “life” I had envisioned for myself. I was crazy excited that the necessity of a career, coincided with my envisioned life path. Howeverrrrr........a series of unforeseen events, attached like box cars full of different issues, plowed right into my path. Then my path was all over the place. When The dust finally settled........years later.....I had changed. I didn’t have that fresh enthusiasm anymore. Even though I was looking for “my” path again, it wasn’t that simple. Children, souse, job, bills etc. Don’t get me wrong.....people with those things do wonderful things all the time. They work hard and achieve. The difference for me is, I don’t know anymore “what” it is I want, or I would be on the fast track too. I’m 54 now. Talk about being lost. I was an athlete until I was 44. Arthritis came crashing in on me and changed that now. So, At this point my options are limited. And that makes it even harder to be optimistic about a deep personal direction. It’s definitely not where I envisioned my , personal, life path would have led me when I enthusiastically shot out of the High School gate. Make no mistake though........my life is good, great even. I am incredibly grateful for the people and life I have.
