Hello guys, you're right about the history of the park. It's about 70-80 years old. My family and I moved to the US in the 1974. I still recalled riding my bicycle with some friends visiting the park in the summer times. It was only about 10 koli from my hometown. And I always go visit the park when I come to Lao. Recently, there has been many shops, restaurants, new statues and gardens added at the entrance but the old park area remains in the original conditions. All of those statues tell stories about Buddhism, legends and the locals still believe it in until today. In the summer times or the weekends you'll see many students in white/blue school uniforms or monks go to the park to practice their English skills by interacting with foreigners or "Farang". The park is located along the Mekong River and it's a nice place to take a date for lunch or dinner in the evening to enjoy the beautiful sunset. No matter where I am right now and Lao will always be my home and I miss it very much. Thanks for sharing the video. You both stay safe and healthy..peace!❤️👍
Thank you so much for the info and your stories, it made us feel nostalgic, it must have been a lovely place to grow up! thank you for watching as always 😊
The sunshine in Laos is just gorgeous. I'm living in Seattle and it's cold here. It rains a lot too in the Washington state. I'm hoping to buy a house in Laos and retire there when I turn 67 in 2042.
I was there and this place is damn beautiful. I’ve been to all over Lao. This place is so nice, I even go here by the bus. You guys can try Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng too
Very beautiful place lot to see, we were there in 2017, we enjoy it a lot, there another Buddha park in Thailand across the Mekong river, same guy build it, after the war he went to Thailand and build Buddha park there..it is located in Nongkhai, check that out... great video...thanks as for sharing.
Wow!! The town offers more than spectacular scenery to its visitors. Love to see more can't get enough of you guys video and thanks for sharing stay safe you two😊
Next door to Buddha Park they have national heritage site where they have display about different housing styles and tribes. I hope they are still open. I really like it when I was there. The statues are characters from the stories from Ramayana book.
Lao National Ethnic Culture Park. I noticed they have added on a few attraction to the park like swimming pool. The park still have the ethnic home around Laos.
the 1st time i was there was back in 1976, 45 years ago, we walked up to the top of the globe and there, that's where looking down make me scare of height ever since. also, i think... dont quote me on this, but the same monk or a copy is made on the other side across the mekong on the thai side.
Wow, it's crazy you were there so long ago, before we were even born. It must have been so different back then. Yeah there is another one in Thailand, we were told this too 🙂
Glad to see you finally made it out there! It didn't look like you made it to the other half of the Buddha Park towards the river, which is where the beautiful botanical gardens are. It's well worth a visit another time.
