Should open a gas monkey bar & grill in Belfast and Dublin! Going over there is a dream trip & on my bucket list of places to visit and explore!

the TR engine is removed and fitted on a frame, (back in the day at the dealer) This frame was essentially a trolley. The amount of used TR stuff makes this a good purchase specially as they are finally going/gone up in value, i worked with the guys that did the subframe for the black F40 . If you got tim at redcar restoration to do all of these for you, he's only up the road from you in Rockwall.. very cool find.
@@guinnessinmyveins Only one of those cars was/is UK registered, the rest are still 'in limbo', so no tax would have been due on them in the South anyway (unless it was actually someone in the South who bought them and decided to register them here).
Richards knowledge of Ireland is fairly typical of many Americans but you learn fast when you are here. Very cool that you travelled over here to make deals on cars that are very very rare here. Best of luck with the rebuilds and for the record, you’d be disappointed if you met mcgregor. He’s not or national hero.

You act like buying five Ferrari’s is some big deal. I am a poor disabled single father, and I have bought multiple Ferraris Lamborghinis and classics all in the same day. That yard sale had a great deal on hot wheels.😂
Hey Richard. I think and have been thinking for years the Ferrari 400i is cool as hell. Beverly Hills car club has a warn out one for sale cheap cheap. If I had the means (time and cash) I would resto mod that thing with a modern Ferrari drivetrain. Just a saying. Also, More than happy to help you build/design it

Unless you got them for next too nothing , that's a bad deal. He was vague about when the film was made, meaning he's had them for a while and was expecting to make quick profit, nobody wanted them. He was vague about the only running testarossa which has also been modified. Not one standard Testerossa there, but rebuilding the one with the bullet holes and driving it would be cool
Richard isn't stupid, and he has Chris who knows his stuff. They will turn a profit I'm sure. We don't know what's going to happen yet, maybe he'll keep the runner and sort the rest out? Who knows, but after the F40 rebuild, don't write Richard off.

I only experience in Ireland was when I was 14 yrs old, being at Shannon Ireland and the castle in the area, did the medieval dinner at the castle and had a nasty hangover

Both North and South of Ireland have sheds and barns full of all manner of cool cars (and a hell of a lot of rally bred old skool stuff) of almost every marquee you could think of!
I am in the process of building full carbon fiber testarossa body panels. I purchased a testarossa to completely disassemble and so we can accurately splash the body and produce perfect prepreg and infused panels. The prepreg panels will all be autoclave cured. I am also building carbon fiber intake manifolds and suspension arms. I am working on a full upgrade package for the testarossa with a billet crankshaft, forged rods and Pistons and a complete modern engine management system. With the engine modifications they should produce close to 600hp with a 10k redline.
That is awesome are you doin it to do some potential kit car stuff or more so for awesome replacement parts. I do auto collision and collector car work so just asking
@@steveregehr8289 I am doing it for both purposes. I have a complete 88 testarossa also have a bare testarossa chassis that I purchased to use for testing fitment of the panels and it would not be hard to build a jig and replicate the chassis.

Once you know the shipping and taxes, then all you have to do, is figure out what the cars will sell for maximum, when they have been restored, then you will have your number, of what you can pay max. My guess, is he would have offered between 200,000 and 250,000, max! Figure about 40 to 50k a car, for all five, a package deal.
Yikes, even the perfect car needs work, the rest are basically VIN preservation with all new parts surrounding the VIN plate. Richard loves a challenge
The beat up TR’s need to be bought for something starting with a “3”. You also need to consider youll have right hand drive cars in the US. tough sell.
I think the Stradman is looking for a wall hanger exotic car for his home. Richard should contact him and see if he'd like to do a collaboration with him and see if he'd like to buy one or two of the cars. A collaboration with the Stradman would be epic.
I live in Northern Ireland, where we take our Christmas trees down a couple of weeks after 25th Dec, but in the south they just keep them up all year round.....

Should ship one or two down to Wales for conversion to EVs at Electric Classic Cars, where they recently completed a Tesla-rossa on their TH-cam channel.
I bet if you keep the bullet holes body as-is but get all the original motor & parts back in it & running great it will be worth the most because of the movie

Always make sure your electric motor is stowed before you drive off in the big motor. Don’t go faster than 4 or so mph with it deployed.
Hate these guys who stack this beauty’s because they are the reason these old beauties are so rare and soooo freaking expensive!!!!
