excelent idea ! I shot an independent music project here in brasil (which things are super expensive), so this gave me some ideas on how to get more light options!
I hope you watch some of our other lighting videos, like using the parking lot lights, RGB flood lights and how we use $10 lights and a $10 umbrella as a difuser. Also using cheap cellophane wrapping paper to get colors. You can do a lot without spending a lot of money on lights. I am glad you found it and it was helpful.
Unfortunately, regular lights (not video lights) are dependent on good clean power. With frequencies an voltage varying so much from location to location, you might see it in one place and not another. Try plunging them into a decent UPS and see if you still have the issue. We use them quite a bit and even use the variable transformers to dim them and have not seen any flicker. But we do get some flicker from my LED overhead lights but that could be because they are old.

I bought the light I found that they do flicker at 180 shutter angle. But they are very powerful lights
