@@godloveasempa mine would come on and off too. Usually after I turn it off and turn it back on the AT is off. But as I drive the gear problem triggers and the light turns back on. Then it got to the point where it was on at all times and the shifting problem never went away
I had the same problem, it’s the TCM (transmission control module) I had the same lights on, the part itself cost me around $800 (new) but it’s better to get a new one so you know it works. You can replace it yourself and your car should be back to normal!
Update: so the problem was my transmission control module , had to send it to a tech to get it repaired and reinstall it back into car, haven't had problems since
I came here because I’m looking at 12 Mazda 3 i sport to possibly buy but saw one post that had transmission problems that he didn’t want to fix and selling as is
It happened to me , and it went all down hill for me, first you have to take it a car wiring expert, they charged me a thousand, then i had to go to a transmission shop to fix at problem, cost about 2 grand, then the transmission started skipping, took the car in a gain , that was another 3 thousand, my advice is trade in your car, its going to go down hill from there.
I had similar issue with my mazda3 2012. That came with trouble code u0101(lost communication with TCM). And since my axela isn't equipped with a separate TCM unit like the previous models, I was told to replace ECM(brain box). When that didn't solve the issue, I was agin told to replacea BCM. Again that didn't solve the issue. Cut the whole story shot; My car was fixed after replacing the automatic gear box. This is to say your TCM is right inside your gearbox unit.
Same as mine but it gets worst during a cold season. So i usually keep it on idle till the Coolant temperature light turns off then I'll put it in gears and it won't causes any of the problems but engine lights still on.
This is happening to me now. I just replaced the TCM maybe a couple years ago for the same problem and now it’s happening again. Really can’t afford to replace it again yet can’t afford a new car.
Im having the same problem in my Mazda 6. What i do at the moment is. After i shift from parking to drive mode (brake pedal still in foot), i wait for the D mode to engage (you will feel it around 2 seconds) then after, i release the brake pedal and go.

Just replace the TCM! Solves the issue.
Lololol you got burned all three times all you needed was a new tcm or refurbished
How did you fixed it. Same happened here with my Mazda
It’s a motor mount. Change it. Won’t know what gear it is because motor mount is torn. So it will act up with the AT light
It's your transmission mount
It the tcm it about an 800 part you have to get from dealership
Is your transmission control unit TCM problem
TCM bro and also check your neural control switch
Scan & confirm first before replace any sensors
Check transmission mount
Check your transmission control unit
