Every car is going to have issues of some kind. In my experience I’ve had zero issues on my 12’ m3 since I got it in 14’. Been the best car I’ve ever used. Gotta replace parts eventually or sometimes.
I had the same problem, it’s the TCM (transmission control module) I had the same lights on, the part itself cost me around $800 (new) but it’s better to get a new one so you know it works. You can replace it yourself and your car should be back to normal!
@@godloveasempaI had to replace the transmission control module. Search for it on TH-cam and you’ll find some videos showing you how to fix it. It’s awkwardly positioned under the battery box so it’s kind of a pain to do it but it’s doable. Or you can have a garage do it
@@godloveasempa mine would come on and off too. Usually after I turn it off and turn it back on the AT is off. But as I drive the gear problem triggers and the light turns back on. Then it got to the point where it was on at all times and the shifting problem never went away

Im having the same problem in my Mazda 6. What i do at the moment is. After i shift from parking to drive mode (brake pedal still in foot), i wait for the D mode to engage (you will feel it around 2 seconds) then after, i release the brake pedal and go.
This is happening to me now. I just replaced the TCM maybe a couple years ago for the same problem and now it’s happening again. Really can’t afford to replace it again yet can’t afford a new car.
I had similar issue with my mazda3 2012. That came with trouble code u0101(lost communication with TCM). And since my axela isn't equipped with a separate TCM unit like the previous models, I was told to replace ECM(brain box). When that didn't solve the issue, I was agin told to replacea BCM. Again that didn't solve the issue. Cut the whole story shot; My car was fixed after replacing the automatic gear box. This is to say your TCM is right inside your gearbox unit.
Update: so the problem was my transmission control module , had to send it to a tech to get it repaired and reinstall it back into car, haven't had problems since
It happened to me , and it went all down hill for me, first you have to take it a car wiring expert, they charged me a thousand, then i had to go to a transmission shop to fix at problem, cost about 2 grand, then the transmission started skipping, took the car in a gain , that was another 3 thousand, my advice is trade in your car, its going to go down hill from there.
Will this cause any damage to the brake lines after time with jossling and bumps from the added wait of the Tcm tied to the brake lines?
No problems yet. The tcm is mere ounces in weight

Try changing the MAF. I had a similar issue and nothing else worked, even though my MAF looked fine.
I have same issue and same car
Change the TCM
It the tcm it about an 800 part you have to get from dealership
It’s a motor mount. Change it. Won’t know what gear it is because motor mount is torn. So it will act up with the AT light
TCM issue… I experienced same… like a grinding when when you change gear
TCM bro and also check your neural control switch
How did you fixed it. Same happened here with my Mazda

@GMoney-B true but not mission at 90k. I will stick w/ TOYOTA most reliable vehicles out there my opinion of course
Thought it was my tcm sent out to fix turned out to be transmission. Had it rebuilt $4300. ouch
for 4300 why not just get another car? another mazda3 will cost the same
The unknown. Rather stick w/ my vehicle & my vehicle history
@yzinger9878 another used vehicle is unknown problems. I would rather stick w/the vehicle I have & know the maintenance/history of past problems.
Quick question, did you have it rebuilt at a local shop or dealership? I'm about to send mine out this week, I hope it's a TCM not the transmission 😥
