Wow, what an amazing time capsule you unveiled us! As a documentarian we often use images like that to address some narrative needs. Would be nice if you start creating a database of the films you have been developing because they possess a very important historical value.
as a UK camp counsellor in the Poconos in 1976 it looks like a bicentennial parade.. I almost could read the signs on the doors of the trucks in the parade-you could do so if you projected the negative and blew it up. Perhaps the other yet undeveloped reels give the answer...
Nice work once again, Mike. The way technology is changing so quickly these days, easy to use and affordable software should soon be available that will make films like this look almost like they would have if they had been developed shortly after being shot. Every time you share one of these I can't help but wonder why the film was never processed. I'll bet there are some really interesting stories that could be told.
Thank you, Dale! I think the biggest problem would be the physical deterioration of these old films. It would be nice if there was a perfect little AI program that could really clean up fogging and too much grain automatically. Now that, I would use!!
I had trouble staying focused on this current video as I was deep in thought about what number comes next…….plus the horses totally ascared me because my mother was mauled and killed by a horse before I was born…….
I found a Kodak Super 8 Ektachrome 160 film cartridge while going through my boss's old office. I am looking for someone to develop it for him. Can you help me?
That was one busy family!!
Right!?! 😂😂😂

Thanks so much, Ivan!! I do feel like these old films carry such an importance in our history.

Thanks, Jeffrey!! I'm hoping the other 5 give us more clues for sure.
Came out great Mike! Interesting film too and as you mentioned it has lots of diverse subject matter.

A Bicentennial celebration ? Great video, I love found films.
You may be onto something! Thanks, Cecil!!
Looks like Mount Vernon at 10:11 Mike. I’m guessing all this was filmed in Virginia based on other clues as well. Nice one!
Thanks, Steven!! Hopefully the other 5 have more clues.
Film starts at 7:45.
Very cool! I just found a tape in an old camera I bought a long time ago and I never checked it 😅it’s this type of film!
Shoot me an email if you want to try and get it processed and scanned.
