Model railway layout update - New scenic section

Hello and welcome, todays video is all about the new section I have decided to start work on, due to drying times in the loft, it makes sense to work on some of the bigger projects on the layout whilst I’m awaiting for the smaller projects to dry.
I’ve decided to remove the small triangle pieces on the corner of the layout and add in 60cm x 60cm boards which now gives me a lot more scope in making the layout flow better.
I’ve decided to blend in my top and bottom sections of the layout with a new hillside and double road tracks. This new top area will have a farm and the lower level will have a factory/brewery.
I’ve also designed a 4 track tunnel portal for the lower tracks, plus a continuation of the disused railway tracks has been added to create some more detail on the layout.
I also share plans with what is coming up in my next layout update.

Not always as well planned as you think but more of make it up as I go along, but do have a long term vision 🙂
Really liking the idea for the farm section and road ways - it will link your scenery very well. YOu should get some amazing shots of the locos appearing and disappearing through the tunnels.

Well done Mark, Being able to easily remove and replace a section of your table really is a bonus and demonstrates your ability to plan ahead. The backscene looks really good. Is the attic fairly warm given you have installed the insulation?Do you have neighbours on the other side of the brick end wall? Great scene looking back toward the tunnels.The corrugated cardboard is great modelling material. Great job.
Hey Charlie thanks for watching, yes now it’s insulated it’s much better up there after 10 mins of my heater on it warms up nicely and seems to retain the heat fairly well, not perfect but much better than it was, no I have no neighbours on the other side I was thinking to paint the wall but a bit late now, on the outside I’ve water proofed the bricks so it should stay damp free
