Model railway layout update - new river, bridges and ballasting

Hello and welcome to my 00 gauge layout in the loft update.
This video is a first look at the preparation for the new section of the river that will also have a waterfall.
Also some new bridges arrived thanks to ‪@AlanReynoldsBucklandJunction‬ for these and will be a fantastic addition to the new bridge section that joins two sides of the layout together.
Plus I start ballasting the lead up to the new engine shed and fiddle yard area, using fine cinders and a dark n scale ballast, plus some work starts on the new embankment along the side of the railway lines.

It's all coming along nicely Mark, the bridges look great -(well done Alan). The river bed continuation is looking so good and you even give us a master class on ballasting!

Mark, great work on the river and track ballasting. You have a good eye for colour. I too like Alan of Buckland Junction bridges. I like how he has placed magnets on the bridge railing and deck. That way he can remove the railings to do work near the bridge. Are you going to be doing the same thing? Bill from California

Thanks, yeah I think that I will put them on magnets, a great idea especially for track cleaning etc 🙂
