For the price of the higher trims of Ford, a spray on bed-liner should come standard.
Don’t forget about the reclining rear seats in the Ram, that’s a great feature for long rides!

The F150 rear seats don’t recline.

My 2021 Ram Limited night edition was delivered two days ago and It Is by far the best riding most technologically advanced truck I have ever seen. Super quiet and the air ride suspension Is unreal. No comparison IMO ....

Completely agree with you! 2021 RAM 2021 is packed with cool technologies and offers unbeatable ride experience. 2021 Ford F-150 is not even close here. I don't care a few horse power difference and I care much more overrall ride experience.
Pro power onboard is where its at for me! Ram failed on the etorque system. The Powerboost hybrid is a monster!

I have the ram limited 1500. Ram interior still better than Ford. I almost bought the Ford. After 1 visit the Ram got me. As far as seats, fords are nice but rams are slightly better imo. Glad Ford stepped up their game but the ram is in another level of refinement.

I don’t know that I could ever bring myself to spend that much money on either of these trucks but if I did this would be a really tough choice. Unfortunately the gm’s interior hasn’t changed enough from the previous generation trucks for me to consider one of those
I lost faith & left GM in 2012. Its 2020 & they've still haven't changed their approach to making their trucks. 6.2 liter should be in all trims & their interior is clean but dead.

I just bought a 2021 ram laramine midnight edition and the interior is simply awesome. No other truck right now holds a candle to ram.
They have a beautiful interior, it's the rest of the truck that is an issue.
I own a 2020 Ram 1500 limited with the Hemi and etorque, black edition with all the options except the trailer brake switch. I absolutely love the truck, I bought her in April. Wouldn't trade her for any other vehicle on the road today!

@@leedanielson7452 i would agree. She'sy first Ram and first pickup. Traded in my 2013 Tahoe LTZ. The Tahoe treated me great as well! But the Ram has much better quality as far as materials used in the interior compared to GM, and the technology is amazing!

When you get your hands on the F150 Limited you should compare that with the Ram Limited, the platinum is one step below Ford's best offering so it's not the most upscale interior you can get in the new F-150.
It’s still not as nice as Ram’s interior. Yes I will give Ford the digital cluster but other than that is nothing crazy for a total Interior overhaul . Don’t forget that Rams interior is already 3 years old.

@@ervinzefi8662 It's closer than you think after spending a good amount of time in both. The Ram has more stitching but the Ford has softer leather. The Ram back seats recline while the Ford seats massage you and lay flat. Both offer suede headliners and panoramic roofs. The Ram has more stitching on the dash but the Ford has digital gauge clusters. The Ford has a power tilt and telescoping steering wheel while the Ram has cooled rear seats. The Ford also has speakers in the headrest and mood lighting.
@@cisnerosmike that's a rather peculiar combination to vrag about in this day and time. Pushrod engines simply do not run as smooth as DOHC engines and are known for sending unwanted vibrations to the cabin. Mercedes, BMW, Lexus and Jaguar all use DOHC engines.
@@redd7188 I agree with you and maybe because I’m so happy with my Ram I might be a bit bias , but still , I was expecting a bit more than what they have done . The color of the infotainment screen on the F150 is too bright and doesn’t really match with the interior . On the Ram although I’m not e big fan of the 12 inch screen , still the colors are amazing and the resolution is the best on the market . We could go on an on for a lot of things. At the end they are all overpriced .
The f150 has speakers in the head rests in the seats it’s the b&o sound system To get the best sound put the bass all the way up mid range and treble
Come summer time. When the f150 tremor comes out to compare with the Ram rebel, Chevy trail boss, gmc at4. But mostly how it compares to the Ram rebel. Great work by the way
F150. Saw a 21 F150 at a dealer today. Pictures do not show how much exterior difference there is over previous generation. Interior is day and night.

I've driven both 2021 models and the RAM has a better ride and better seating and a way better price tag. If they were priced the same I'd give the edge to Ford due to the V6 Hybrid gas mileage.

RAM has the rambox + air suspension that sold me. Ford is very nice as well but you have to ride in a RAM long trip to know why the air suspension is totally worth it. The rambox are very nice too with one side storage the other a built in cooler if you wanted.
I rode in the backseat of a Ram - WORST most UNCOMFORTABLE ride ever. In the Ford - SO much better. I'll take the Ford

The best interior would be the Ram Longhorn (with the embroided seats obviously), then the King Ranch, yes there are a couple of things not standard but they are optional so it's the same euippement as the limited versions plus the extra details and touches on the Lh and KR, then it would be the F150 limited
I have a 2019 Ram longhorn with the embroidered seats, it's the mountain brown interior, it's loaded out, it's got 22", air ride suspension, and even the rear locker option, the only option that it doesn't have in the E-torque, I didn't want that anyway. The color is triple perl. I live in the Dallas area and drove to Arkansas to get it, there was nothing like I wanted close by I was VERY picky with this purchase. It was used with 3,400 miles. The guy that originally bought it didn't tell his wife. His monthly payment was $1,126 and his wife freaked out and told him it's got to go. So his loss ended up being my gain. I paid $46,247. He paid over $65,000.

2020 Ram limited black edition here. The Ford still looks like it has lots of cheap plastic and blocky design. Not what I was expecting.

You didn’t mention the heads-up display in the Ram. It’s one of the things I like most about my 2021 Ram Limited.

Modern technology? You skipped over the Rams class leading display.
The new Ford screen is far easier to use. It's just as big. I have no idea why companies think it's a good idea to put huge screens in portrait mode in vehicles. Ford made that mistake with the Explorer. I've heard many people who prefer the smaller 8.4 inch infotainment on the RAM because of the layout.

I had a 2018 F150 xlt 3.5 eco boost and now currently have a 21 ram Laramie 5.7 etorque. The fords steering and suspension and interior don’t come close to the rams. The air suspension and rear suspension is amazing and the steering makes you feel connected to the road

@@Savagegaming-ev6st I believe mine was 56 or 58. Its basically fully equipped at the XLT level. Thing has an auto pilot like a Tesla! ok, not Tesla level, but i just did 500 miles today and it was a breeze. Make freeways soooooo easy. Get the copilot feature, you won't be sorry!
Ram is very luxurious and soft to ride. Its new tablet-look screen is impressive.

Darin I have a 2021 Big Horn crew sport and it’s a great value it really is... when mine came in in October there was a 3K rebate and the dealer took 4K off the sticker which made the truck under 40 K plus ram had 0% financing included with that

I usually lean more towards Ford, but must agree with many others here, the RAM is nicer!
What is so absolutely awesome about these two particular trucks is that, if you can afford either, then it means you can afford to buy both - and add them to your personal fleet of luxury vehicles.
I checked out Larry Miller Dealer even though I live in New England. I see RAM has good incentives, Ford very little.
So would you pick the RAM for $62k or the Ford for $67k????
Wonder if they fixed the problems with the V6 Fords blowing timing chains, I got rid of my 2018 F150 5.0 , because of oil consumption and their fix was a longer dipstick and reprogram PCM, It didn't work ,they wouldn't do anything about it, saying 3 qts oil loss was acceptable at every oil change so I traded it for the 2020 Ram Laramie and I love it!
People think technology and fuel saving is everything yet this is a perfect example why I feel like a solid V8 is better. They're not even that bad on gas anymore compared to what they used to be. To me, a V8 ram is more reliable then a Ford V6 turbo. Like I'm not stressing my vehicle at as much or my pocket. Less to go wrong with a hemi then either of those motors.
Maybe compare a Limited to a Limited?

Ecoboost is the move. They have been out for so long now it’s hard to hate on them failing. But yes an unlikely even that turbo goes it will be pricey
The one thing that most people miss is the fact that the rear seats in the ram recline. You also get the automatic high beams and wipers but i'm sure this applies to both brands. That limited is like my laramie.......just nicer lol. I love the digital cluster in the ford and the fact that the ford has physical buttons for the ac and heated seats, my laramie has the 12 inch and when you get the 12 inch the seat controls are digital.

Just got my 2021 Ram Ecodiesel Built to Serve, saw your video about that as well. For the money its unreal how nice these Rams are. 31 Hwy with the 3.21 rear axel and it is the best looking and riding truck imo. Ford is catching up for sure but GMC is still in the dust with interiors. I'd expect Ram to have the Tornado inline 6 gas engines in a few years to compete with Ford's offerings. I myself just got a Ram Limited and I don't understand the hate between truck brand fan boys. It's always "this brand truck sucks, blah blah blah". To me they all look great and to each their own. What's great about different brands of trucks is that you can choose which you prefer. Don't berate other brands just to justify your purchase. Enjoy your truck lads!

Ben, you mentioned this RAM 1500 limited you tesed only has 1100lbs payload? 1100lbs is considered very low payload for a half ton truck. That means this RAM 1500 essentially cannot tow 11000lbs as you said because tongue weight limit can chime in. For example. towing 11000lbs travel trailer, the tongue weight is already 1100lbs. And you don't even count in driver and passenger weight etc. which can be easily over 500lbs for 4 persons. Also you need to count in weight distribution hitch weight which could be another 100lbs. Plus if you add a 100lbs truck cover or a 200lbs truck canopy. So you will need at least at least 1800 lbs payload to tow 11000lbs. Is my understanding here correct?

Both are really nice, can’t go wrong with either. For me the F150. Don’t like all the chrome though. By now you would think the manufacturers would know chrome has not been the in thing for quite some time. Brushed/platinum look is so much better looking.
In this video both trucks are close to the same price....the problem with that is the Ford F150 is not the highest trim level Ford has. Both trucks highest trim level is Limited. The only thing I wish the RAM has that the F150 has is the massaging seats. Thanks for the great content Ben Hardy.

As much as I like tech, the fully digital gauges on the Ford look totally out of place on a truck and kind of ruin it for me. Bought a loaded Rebel, love it.
Ram interior is awesome, I have a 19 wagon, just quality in the Dodge is suspect. I know I said Dodge, rebrand all u want, its still a Dodge. My next truck is a Ford Platinum.
Test drove the Ram Rebel 21' but then decided I should probaby get a truck that'll last past 1 year. 21' F150 Platinum is where its at. Leading the way for 40+ years. Ram is a solid second place choice inside and out.
If someone made me flip a coin to take one of these home. I’d be happy either way. Both are great trucks

I had a 2015 Laramie Limited it was a nice truck I just really hate that knob for the gear selector. The actual shift is much better gives it the truck feel
I'd rather have the knob as the gear shift in the console takes way from storage space. Just like anything new you'd get used to it.
That Ford when you close the back door had a better sound, a thunk where the dodge had a little rattle.
Owner of a 2017 Ford Platinum F150. My neighbor has the new RAM. I like it but see too many here in North Carolina in Used car lots with the new model RAM. I will keep what I have now but will wait.

They're pretty much neck and neck at this point, with pros and cons for each. Just depends on what you value most; for me, I'll still take a N/A V8 over a turbo v6, not really any contest. But great review!

Seat comfort is paramount for me since I sadly have an old man back. When you say the seats are better in the F-150, can you elaborate? More comfortable and more adjustability, I’m assuming, with the three-way adjustable lumbar in the F-150, maybe?

The seats in the Ford are not only softer, they have a massage function, they are able to lay completely flat with the bottom raised so it acts like a bed, it even has a speaker built into the headrest, it has all the standard features the Ram has but more basically.

@@RaceGasSmellsGood Yea i'm sure you will enjoy them if you already enjoy that version, the Ram has a smoother right because of the air suspension so maybe that will be overall better if you don't wanna feel any bumps, but then again the Ford seats negate it with it's more comfortable materials and functions. They are both just as comfy in different ways.

Well that's a good review. Look how pretty these 'trucks' are. But how do they drive? They're designed for off road use, somuow do they cope? Though I suppose most buyers wouldn't know or ever see real off road or even dirt roads in their nice shiny show ponies. Had a 1976 F100 4x4 we took across and around Australia, never missed a beat, could service it on the side of the track (no computers) not sure I'd take either one on the same journeys today. Far too much electronics that could (would) stuff up.
Take F150 Platinum or Limited and F250 Lariat Tremor and Platinum or Limited
nothing touches the RAM its the best truck in the market no questions asked. I just picked up the 2021 RAM LIMITED night edition I love it. Driven f150s my whole life and glad I made the change.
Both are very nice but I am surprised that Ram doesn't have a power tilt and telescoping wheel.
6th gen coming next year new improvements and more tech new tailgate. 10 speed as well.

I'm a Ford guy, my last 4 vehicles have been Fords - Mustang, F150, F150, Explorer and I'd choose the RAM Limited over either a F150 Limited or Platinum. The center console on the Ford is wasted space. The folding gear lever is just silly. Put the gear lever either on the dash or on the steering column and leave more room for center console storage. I choose the RAM limited as the way I would want the vehicle set up is about 10K cheaper than the Ford when set up as close to the same as possible.
I like the air shocks interior, of the ram. The ford 3.5 ecoboost power.

I'm struggling so hard deciding between these two. The fuel economy on the Ram is so overstated. Gonna figure 14 city 18hwy. That's a hard pill to swallow especially vs the hybrid ford and it's 24mpg. But the inside of the ram is so nice. After sitting in both of these the Ford feels so plain jane even in the platinum trim compared to the limited. I also felt like the B&O sound system in the Ford was kind of unimpressive. Even when I tinkered with the settings the HK in the Ram sounded nicer. This decision will be the death of me! Thanks for the vid!
