Once you try out the Ram Limited with the air suspension, it's hard to go back to any other brand. The ride is smooth! Noticeably better than the other trucks. It's quiet & the interior is surprisingly upscale. Soft touch material everywhere. Heated & cooled rear seats & they recline some as well. Extremely comfortable front or rear. I never thought I'd go with a Ram. But I have zero regrets. I have the Ecodiesel & I average around 27mpg for the tank. About 50/50 city/highway. All highway, I can get over 30mpg. That's with a fully loaded Limited with 22's & with 4wd.

A ram owner once told me to get extend warranty for the air suspension because it cost 14k if it goes out

I have the 21 f150 limited, is a pleasure to drive. It powers most of my house during an outage (30amp - just not hot water tank or AC). One think you didn’t touch on was the CCD shocks. Continuously Controlled Dampening… they are electronic and feels like riding on a cloud like the rams air suspension. I’d say they are very comparable suspension systems but with the leaf springs on the ford you get a better drive when towing.

Despite the video title, that’s a 2021 F150 Limited. 2022s have been shipping with a few little changes, and also the window sticker shows a 2021 year.
The best two trucks on the market. I usually consider the Ram to be the most luxurious but this time I think the Ford interior looks better. The seats anyway.
this is the 14th generation f150 and yet has seats similar to the 11th generation f150's seats and has taillights like the 122lth generation f150. Why? Ford really got lazy and put no effort

I want both to be honest, I wish I had the money to throw around on expensive vehicles in general just for vehicles that I like. It's a shame that I can only afford my prius hybrid & a jeep liberty. At least my prius saves a hell of a lot on gas. But at the same time, I'd really love to have a Ram AEV (All Electric Vehicle) truck, I might look into taking out a big loan just to get one of those after I pay off my current loan. lol
Great video Ben ! I’d still pick the Ram even though it comes down to preference for the individual. But I did not in the video, that the Ram had custom, not factory rims and tires on it. But that’s beside the point. Bottom line, if you put a stock Ford Limited and the stock Ram Limited side by side, the Ram as far as I’ve looked into them, the Ram would still be cheaper. In all my years of looking at truck price comparisons, evenly matched, Ram still comes out the better deal. But that’s just me and what I expect out out of my pickup.
Can you do a 2022 platinum v8. Don’t see much information videos about a v8 engine.

Looking at the comments it looks like a solid 4 to 1 preference for the Ram.
Still think the ram is ahead and it’s been out for 3 years. Can’t wait for a new engine tho
I would take the Ford F-150
And trade it in for a Ram 1500 Laramie. It just looks better, has a better ride and has much more creature comforts.
My 21 F-150 Limited doesn’t offer vented back seats and reclining back seats like the RAM Limited. Also, the RAM’s air suspension is amazing. 🤔🧐
Rams air suspension is amazing till it fails and almost killed me and my gf.

I'm just happy that we can actually get blue contrast interior colors on both over the drab black that is generally on offer in this class. Of course, I'm going with RAM. However, Ford has come a lonngg way on interiors and I will submit that it has a very slight tech edge up front(massaging seats/more camera angles/digital cluster(for better or worse), however Ram kills with rear occupants comfort, better storage solutions, and just a better executed interior, materials-wise.
This is what sucks. The only thing that Ram has over Ford is comfort and interior. The Ford motor is far better in the Ford, Fords payload is also almost 2 times that of dodge.. I hate it. I want the dodge but technicality the Ford is way better. My friends will make fun of me if I go Ford here and the Ram is nothing but vanity…. The damn Chevrolet 1500 6.2 litre engine blows up almost 65 percent of all their trucks and there the Toyota truck looks like nothing but a dinkis truck. A penis truck… WTF

Yes, but the 2022 is essentially the same and it's easier just to say it's a 22 instead of looking for one to film.
Yes but you can probably get that and the ambient lighting they took out optioned back in if you ask for it.

Hmmm. If Ford finally ditch the gimmick shifter or at least give the customer the choice to go with a column shifter for more storage in the center console (for 80k I would prefer it) it would be perfect.

For anyone wondering, the F-150 Limited is in the Smoked Quartz Metallic color.
I thought I liked the Ford in Antimatter Blue best...until I saw this. I like the Lariat Sport and Tremor in the Anitmatter, but this Smoked Quartz show better on the Limited.

I don't care for the ride with with 22 inch wheels, the 20 inch wheels afford a significantly better ride.
Great video as usual! That being said the Ram wins in every category except performance. I can't wait for the new Hurricane twin turbo six to show up in the Ram and bring the performance into the 21st century to match the rest of the truck.

It’s for the blue cruise self driving. So when you drive it senses if your looking on to the road and if your not looking it you’ll get a beep warning to keep looking.

Personally I don't see much reason to buy either when the Raptor and TRX exist. Purchase price may be slightly higher but true cost of ownership will be significantly less with their high resale values.
Your just not a truck guy think that way. A truck is not a sports car. You move shit with it. You use it for many things. None of those you just mentioned can move tools around, stuff around. They are completely useless from a practical perspective. They are nothing but off road race cars. After that if you want to go to work you have to leave them in the garage and bring your work truck to work… WTF
No looser here. NOTE subjective 2¢ of my own opinion! In I longer pull a heavy trailer over 11,000 lbs. pull a skid stead occasionally from job sites (build luxury homes). I carry customers, and grandkids. 90% of driving city. 10% road trips usually about 800-1000 mile one way.

AFTERMARKET ADD ON’s. Amp Power steps for lifted trucks (they’re wider and drop a couple inches lower) BDS 6” lift with Fox coil overs, 18 or 20” wheels with 35” or 37” tires.

7.2 Kilowatts gen, 3.73 gears, all options. BDS 6” lift with AMP steps for lifted truck. Again 18 or 20” wheel with 35” tires.
Yep… aware of the negatives and positives of lifted trucks.
The Powerboost would be very useful many times a year on job sites and occasionally on emergency situations where power isn’t available.
Have a fried, one of my HVAC contractors who has a 2021 Powerboost Lariat with 6” Rough Country and their Vertex Coil overs and shocks. Really a nice riding truck and he’s still getting 21 mpg city and 18-20 highway running the Nitto Ridge Grapplers.
I’m a fan of the Nitto Trail Grappler Trail Grappler off road and looks.
If Ford would only fully upgrade the interior on the top trim level. Take out all the cheap plastics, and please change that hideous instrument cluster, I hate the all digital look plus it’s looks amateur
No one comes close to the Ram center console both front and back. I don’t know why ford and Chevy keep the boring plastic box
I wish Ram would get rid of the pin stripe on the limited wood.
In a few years the full digital gauges will seem boring in comparison to old well designed analog gauges

First of all I like both trucks but I think you’re doing and unfair comparison you emphasize in the backseat of the ram the storage but not in the Ford and also, you played it down with the manual steering on the Ram and didn’t put much emphasis on that. But on the Ford you totally play it down that steering is power with memory. To me you Clearly like the Ram better than the Ford

Fords motor, pay load is far better but it is the dodge that gets the looks.
I’ve only seen one F-150 Limited (2021) and way too many Ram Limited’s. I love the interior on the F-150 as for the Ram I feel it’s too basic (just my opinion).
I think Ford pumps way more Platinums out than Limiteds, which makes it...well more limited.

Looking at a dealership prices, if it isn't a Larmaie + Crew. It is going to be cheaper for the same year/approx trim/km.
They also mark their vehicles up at dealerships and say you are getting a discount with how they package/discount their deals.
But what do I know. I just buy and sell used inventory at a dealership lmao.
