I took my WSET 3 exam last night and was so happy that I had discovered your excellent videos. I felt very confident, having taken full advantage of your practice essay questions!
I am too taking full advantage of the incredibly well explain and most enjoyable videos whilst obtaining more knowledge and a much better understanding.
why are the vines grown following the slope rather than on terraces that hug the slopes in a step like manner. This might extend premier crue zones (based on water retention) and protect soil from erosion. Could also allow for meccanised harvest (maybe). Is it just that there is an adversioon to change or there is no particular reason why terracing could not be implemented? Costs perhaps?
Thank you , super helpful to help tie it all together. Would you be willing to explain how a wine label can state, echezeau, Vosne Romanee, Domain De La Romanee Conti all in one... is it from Echezeau or Romanee.... I doubt that makes any sense, hope it does. Also, any chance you would share the other two lessons in this session 🤞. Thank you!!!
@@WineWithJimmy That sounds like it would be worth a point in the exam although it's not directly mentioned in the textbook. Thanks for the reply and the content.
A certified somm background with definitely stand you in good stead for WSET Level 3, but it won't guarantee a pass without sticking to a good study plan and rigorous attention to the course textbook. Check with your local course provider to establish a course/study format that will work best for you.
Hi Alessandro - yes this part of this issue. Mainly, Pinot Noir's thin-skin is susceptible to being punctured by the fungus, causing botrytis bunch rot (grey rot) - it might not necessarily split the berry, but it does cause structural problems to the grape.
Truly helpful. Is there a reason you don't do anything for level 2? My level 2 is on January 6th and I"m worried I'm not getting enough of the details for each of the grapes-per-region down pat, whereas these really do in-depth. Not something to worry about for L2, but maybe L3 next year?
Hi Mike - thanks for the comment - L3 requires much more understanding, hence why I have focussed on that, and L2 is more about remembering key facts. But I am also looking to develop the channel and portal (I am knee-deep in L4 stuff!)
Loved this video. Very well explained and organised for the content

ok, I have a question. is there anyway we could perhaps be picky and choose what we buy from your e-learning portal?

Do you reckon the Western Winds coming from the Gulf could net you a mark as weather hazards ? You mentioned frosts, rainfall and hailstorms at 30:00
Hi Akatsuki - it's what the western winds bring (clouds and rainfall) that would be the problem.

Do you think an advanced somm , csw can knock out wset knock out this exam pretty quick?

Hi there, when you say 'for members only ' Is it the E-learning level 3 on your site? Greetings!
Yes, correct = members of my e-learning portal found at www.winewithjimmy.com
Hi Jimmy, is Pinot susceptible to rot because of its thin skin so when it rains the berries split easily?

Working Written Question 28:07
hi sir , when we talk about south east facing slopes. Does it mean the location of slopes is In the West and facing South east? ...
It means facing in the direction of SE
Côte = coast.
Thank you so much.
No worries!
