Real talk, having this show back and seeing everyone in the basement again is really helping my depression. You all make my life a little easier to manage and there aren’t enough ways for me to say thank you for you do. ❤️
This are crazy times guys, and sometimes I ve got to say I feel lost too. Mine are just words from a stranger you ll never meet but I can tell you this: it will be ok, we ve got to fight through. We have this strange saying here in my country: it goes like this. "Be strong and brave, after April comes May". It means that after the cold months of the winter the time will pass by bringing spring and summer back again no matter how cold now is. Sure, it might sound stupid I know, but this idea helps me forget my worries every now and then. Cheers from Italy

Can I just say that I love how Monty tries to lure Joe into making a pact with another entities all the time? First the thing in the water, now this one! This is the prime example of why I loooove warlocks. I wish my dm would try to do that when I played one long ago 😅
I once played a Celestial Chain Pact Warlock. My dm kept trying to lure me into a new patron but like... I was our party tank/healer... and my pseudodragon familiar Cuddlewing was very persuasive for why I should stay.

Ahhh, the basement. Where I started watching the Dungeons of Drakkenheim campaign after 10 episodes were released. Seeing you guys back in the basement gives a touch of home and familiarity that makes me smile since I've been here for so long.

This was absolutely fantastic! Great to see the Dwarven Forge sets back too! As you asked about feedback, could you describe the Dwarven Forge setup as you unveil it, because I feel like I miss a lot of immersion when I listen to the audio-only podcast version!
I just love how Wilhelm is so unlucky that even a feature that just straight up makes you lucky, doesn't change anything, and he still manages to fail every feasible persuasion check.
Monty is fired up! Trying to get ahead of these very smart players. I wanted to see him as a DM keep the player over planning at a minimum and keep the story and action moving along. Nice work DM! Keep em guessing!

After watching Kelly's bit at 1:35:50 and the whole team's reaction to it, now I really need an episode of Untold Tales focused on the adventures of Wilhelm the Union Organizer.
Well, I... we really need a "Some elks have wronged me" merch. That discussion might just have won for best moments of the gameplay. It's so nice to see how everyone just fits so well back together. The conversations are less delayed, and I love how the interactions seem so fluid.
Its so good to see you guys all together in the basement again, the place where it all started, hopes to a better year, with more cosmis horrors, near death situations, and just a bunch of scary turned comedy scenes, i love all you guys

My absolute favorite thing in dnd is where DMs aren't scared to beat their party in battles because the loss doesn't exactly mean they die but further consequence

Love that the cast is basically playing Star Wars: Rudy is a Wookie, the big, hairy muscle. Wilhelm is basically Obi wan, and Wrath is a whiney space wizard, who got his powers from some unknown force and talks to a creature that no one else seems to understand, but him, he's basically Luke. 😂
Fantastic job with maps guys! Love how you were able to use the miniatures again. Much easier to see what is going with the upgraded equipment! Hopefully we can see more roll20 maps from time to time as well!!
Not sure if it is intentional or not, but the fact that they have the purge rod and just let the Lt Commander just stay contaminated is hilarious. Chances are they forgot they have it, but I like to think Wilhem is doing it on purpose, lol

The material component for minor illusion is a piece of fleece. With the time period they are in most of their clothes would be made of wool i.e. fleece so it's perfectly reasonable that he could have cast minor illusion. Presidigitation is not line of sight. Just says within range.

I was listening driving to work and about 20:00 in I see the screen and thought the miniatures and scene were some kind of software that everyone had on their laptop that the dm was controlling. Then I see Monty moving pieces i was like what the hack. Awesome presentation and a very interesting and entertaining video. Wilhelms' parlay for the win. Dungeon dudes is certainly one of the best DnD content creators here on YT.
Why would you make a heavy-handed offer that you could not back up, to a second in command? Why would you reveal information about yourself that could backfire in the case of the Countess simply trying to off you outright as a result? Call the Countess out as a Vampire, call for a meeting with their Leader. Don't back down to their threat, meet it with your own. Attack and the one that did will meet a direct and bloody end. Should have run them down, and dealt with them in a chase sequence or dealt with the Countess instead of trying for supplies they did not need. Explosives? Weapons? Delirium? The only thing worthwhile they pulled out of there were the Hooded Lanterns and knowledge about the Steel Fangs being of Beast Blood.
Nine hells, Ricard is a bloody fool. Reputation on betrayal? Do not employ them. Execute them, especially for admitting to being involved in a Royal Massacre/Assassination.
They made a lot of mistakes. Jill normally plays really well but that was the most pointless misty step in history. There was nothing to gain by using it that turn and everything to lose.
Have been feeling kinda bored by everything and I don't think I have been this excited to see a show continue in my life. At least I can't remember, and holy hell the fucking hype! Can't wait to see this in person energy.
