  • I'm not a fan of these, but I have done them before. So when the owner of this poorly Miele contacted me I said we could help. Let's see what I got us in for, and try and resurrect this expensive high class vacuum. Apologies for ruining one of the clips with the fan, I tried to drown it out as much as posible, you might want to skip 3 minutes there...

Its a pity you couldn't re-hose that machine using a piece of hose from another machine. I guess getting the end pieces off the existing hose would prove too difficult. Its a real shame as that baggy, overstretched hose spoils the whole look of the machine, which you have done a great job with. I still have my one, its one of the earliest ones from 2009, under the S7 name, and the hose is still just as it was when new. Its all about not overstretching the hose when doing stairs, but I suppose Joe Public doesnt realise the hoses on these get damaged by pulling them too hard when at full stretch.

Question. Can you recommend a good set of (Circlip( pliers. I’m refurbishing a DC04 with (clutch) u I’m still pretty much sorted now(. as New) many new parts fitted (But) want to replace (Motor)- (clutch) belt and this requires Circlip pliers to remove a ( Quiet Small) Circlip.
    Recommendations would be appreciated!!!
    With thanks jason

Mine are some RS Components ones, but I got them with a load of random tools at a car boot over a decade ago now so can't help with where to get some... They have to be quite flush, mine are almost like tiny needle nose pliers, then you pull them apart to open the tiny circlip (it's still marginally too big for Dyson clutch bearings but I'm used to it now 🤣)

This is the version I've always wanted to grab. The nicer controls layout.
Just don't like those stupid wheels setup and having to mess with them.
    Looks great in white though
