What a fun, fun hour spent with you looking through the boxes. I watch quite a few comic shows on TH-cam, and watching and listening to you both is a highlight. Thanks🖖
Your channel is absolutely amazing! I love how you go over comics that are not the norm. Every other channel has the same content, and if I want to find info on obscure and amazing books that I have never heard of before you are now my 100% go to!
When you got to some of those Legion of Superheroes around the 7:28 mark, it brought back memories of back when I was collecting comics as a kid because those were what was out back then. Thanks for the video! 😁
Dave and Rachel, I've loved your latest videos -- taking us with you to buy a collection last time, then showing the results of buying a large collection in this one. I find it endlessly fascinating to watch you flip through your treasures -- I always learn something 🙂
All star Squadron #25 is a minor key. That Sandman at 16:35 is a key isn't it? #75 A few of those John Bryne FF's in cgc 9.8 are a little pricey. I.e. that Doom cover.
I collected the Legion runs...should have most Adventure #300 up, Superboy, Action backups and first series after that before quit collecting in late 1980s...always a favorite since a kid in 1960s..
Bought at paradise comics day after fan expo and his books are in US. Prices not Canadian plus your taxes. Bought Submariner #44 human torch cover very fine $45.00 Canadian at expo. Got ripped off there one year by dealer, very careful now.
I can bring myself to sell those because I literally haven’t seen any others like them in the four years I’ve been back to the hobby. I have a feeling I would regret it.
Guys, you mentioned picking out variants, but didn’t they still have the indication on the barcode then as they do now? 🤔 000 - Issue / 0 - Cover / 0 - Printing
I know you will deem me a heretic, Dave, but I'm probably the only FF collector that doesn't like the Byrne run. I can remember seeing his artwork in Hulk Annual 7 and the new X-men and thinking I'd love to see him be the artist on just about any book. Then, he became the artist on the FF, and I just didn't think his style translated as well as I thought it would. That's what is so great about comics... everyone has different taste.
I know this isn,t Q&A , so if you want you wait for your next live show, that's fine. So, I just found my first MJ in a mid-grade DD 174. There is no MJ variant listed on Go Collect or Cover price. What kind of $ bump should I attach to it over the NS price? Also, do you have a high grade Star Trek 32? Thanks.
I can’t believe I happily watched this for 1 hour and wished it was 3 hours longer!

Wow, this is great. Love the back stock. I like the hero for Hire. I am always collecting them.
The last 20 minutes of this video caused me to drool. Bronze Age goodness overload.
Looking forward to watching this!!!! Best comic videos on TH-cam!
Those legions where Keith Giffen started drawing are awesome, especially Darkseid.

John Carter! Sign me up, one of my favorites.
Tremendous episode.
Great video, appreciate you guys!
Dave's face on the thumbnail is less "wondering what's in the box" and more "condemning a prisoner."
Condemnation, it’s my jam.
@@futurepastvintagecollectables You guys are the best, btw.

I need 6 and 19 to complete my xfactor run
What's your business model? "I'm gonna keep them all...." lol those legion books are so crisp and clean!!!!

That was fun! Hope you do more!! Thanks!

I hear you! A lot of different tastes out there. I like the early stuff with Kirby and the silver surfer. That’s legendary to me.
Dave it cost me $135.00 Canadian for Avengers #81 and $100.00 Canadian for #89.
I don’t know where those books are right now, but the prices are down, so I hope you ended up with copies you like.
👍👍👍👍

Gold key or DC?
The MJs can be all over the place. On a non-key mid grade, assume double if it’s a $5 charge $10).
Gold Key
👍✌🖖
