Wow what a collection. You can tell he loves those books by the way they have been taken care of. Absolutly beautiful collection. Im jealous that you got to see it LOL I wanna see it!!!
Seemed like an awesome guy, great collector. I would live to give a look at his collection myself. Lol. I also own the first appearance of Banshi. I just picked up first prints of all 3 Issues of 3 Jokers at a local comic shop for cover price last weekend. They had a ton of them. I couldn't believe it. Great show. I'm jealous of the flea market finds. 😁
This guy gave you the deal of a lifetime. Unlike all the thieves on ebay, and whatnot (not everyone on whatnot). I can't believe some of the prices you got these books for. Wow he really blessed you, you're so lucky. Now it's your turn to bless a few people.
Most of the comic books I saw in that video are really in good condition. Props to him for taking such good care for his comics. Really enjoying seeing a lot of comic books that I'm not aware of. I only look mainly for some Iron Man comics.
@@MintHunterComics still, the fact that some key characters for Batman are still affordable at less $10 or $20 means I still have hope to buy em now. So many Batman members that are affordable. For DC, Batman will always be my favorite since the animated JL/JLU series. That being said, I regret not getting Miracle Molly's first appearance.
awesome collection I love those covers too. Huge huge fan of these kinds of videos where you show us your batman stuff its great every time. Your passion certainly comes out!!
What an amazing deal. Long Boxes usually hold between 250 - 300 comics, I think I saw more than 10 long boxes? 2,500-3,000 comics? You might be traveling before the crack of dawn on Saturdays several times a year the next decade.
Awesome video. Start of a beautiful friendship. Lucky bro. New collector and I'm starting my runs of spawn, batman detective, X-Men, xfactor, wolverine and hulk. Wish me luck. Lol.
I just picked up a copy of Batman/Superman #23 today at a small convention for $5.00s. It looks to be around 8.5-9.2 range I'm happy with it I'm a huge batman fan. I also picked up a New Wolverine 1 for $30, A Young Avengers 2nd vol number 1 for $20.00, but my big pick up was the 5th print of Edge Of The Spider-Verse 2 for $40.00.
@@MintHunterComics Thanks I was pretty happy lol. I also got either a 2nd print or reprint of Miles 2 appearance. It was part of a collection 1-3 pretty sure a reprint. www.ebay.com/itm/254881787030?hash=item3b58236c96:g:ezAAAOSwtBNgOY-V.
Thanks for sharing this video! These are gorgeous comics and a gorgeous collection, and I am learning a ton about comics that I do not yet know that well.
Yikes! I usually wake up at 5:30 but I also work 7 days a week, 2 jobs, 100 hours, flip comics, manage a youtube page and editing, and try to spend time with the girlfriend so it's tough! Haha
I am so happy for you. That must have been fun to see. They are drooling over those comic books. Anyway I'm pretty sure he'll call you back again. I hope you bring your camera on your phone so we could share experience with you.👍🔥🔥☺️
I went to two comic stores in a. City I was visiting this last weekend. Both have been picked clean. I feel I’m just not gonna find detective or Batman books from silver to Bronze Age easily anymore.
It's tough to find anything anymore! but it's out there if you hustle! Wish it was like 5 years ago when you could find the death of jason todd in the $5 comic bins lol
Another Batman Run collector! 160-Current is like a dream for me dude! That really sucks that you had to break that up. I have 360-Current complete right now and like 40 issues under that but I'm in no rush. Lifetime goals. Great haul man!
DEAR JAMES, THE POISON IVY, #181 FIRST SILVER AGE WAS MY FIRST SELLING OF A BATMAN ALSO, DEVASTATING TO ME!!GARY BAILEY KING OF DARKNESS I HAVE BATMANS AND DETECTIVE COMICS GOING BACK TO 55, BUT LOTS ARE MISSING IN THE 50'S!!! WHAT A GREAT SELECTION OF COMICS YOU BOUGHT AT A FANTASTIC PRICE!!!
I had that Peter Parker, Spectacular Spider-man #1 since I was in high school, but I had to sell it since I was strapped for cash at the time...but it was a great collection, and I kept all my books in the same way that he did, as pristine as possible
Awesome video. Was wondering about your comment that you have a direct and newsstand of Batman 321. Direct did not start till issue 328. Unless it was a whitman variant and that issue is not listed as existing. Could you let me know more about the direct you have. Thanks
Oop! sometimes I catch myself saying "Newsstand" vs direct but the reality is MOST comics from before 1984 were pretty much all Newsstands haha so it's not that special
Your Batman run is awesome. I've got every Batman and Tec issue from post Crisis till today minus all the million cover variants of recent times. That's a bridge too far.
Good lord, my brain is fried, I never saw so many good comic books in such a short amount of time! I have Star Wars #9 which is weird b/c I just started collecting a few months ago (it looks like it was missing from your new friend's collection). The free comics remind me of how at work I sometimes trade extra or unwanted baseball cards with a few people, unfortunately coronavirus put an end to that.
That is awesome! usually free and small comics are beat to death and just nothing but sometimes you can find near free comics for a steal - keep hunting my friend!
I wanna cry cause i use to have almost all those books and a lot more but i needed the money and had to sale. You should try finding a Batman superman#4 German variant Michael Turner book cause its super rare.

Some of these where you’re emphasizing that they’re newsstand like Batman 338 - nearly all issues were newsstand. Just thought that was interesting that you kept pointing to that.
Yes yes I still point it out when it happens. A lot of them were from 83-88 where newstands were starting to become the lesser common copy. I even say in the video "they honestly mostly were newsstands at this time but it's still cool"
for those comics that came out as 9.8 did you press them or submit straight to cgc after buying from the guy. Would be awesome if you can answer my question. Thanks
I want to start a batman run had a lot when I was a kid we didn't have a lot of money still don't but on a day walked in my room they were all gone nothing else just my books didn't have friends to play with so I just had my comic I would hunt cans and bottles all day by the end of the week I had enough for a couple. 12:08 Oh hey I have a 9.8 of that!
Not a bad 9.8 to have!
It looks like some really great pick ups. I like what you said about it not just being about value, sometimes a certain issue or cover just grabs you.
Amen dude - like some of my favorite comics are NOTHING issues - sometimes it's just for the cover - IM all over the place
SWEET PICK-UP! You can't lose when you get decent books at a great price! Congrats James!
You got that right Scott!
