Meet One of the BEST Young Pitchers In the World... Yoshinobu Yamamoto

  • I should mention (because I failed to do so in the video) that it's not a 100% guarantee that the Orix Buffaloes post Yamamoto for MLB free agency, though it is expected.
    While Roki Sasaki, with his perfect game and electrifying pitches, has grabbed most of the attention, Yoshinobu Yamamoto is just 24 going on 25 and has already been Japan's best pitcher for years. This season, he has the opportunity to make more history on top of what he's already done, and capture his 3rd straight pitching triple crown, Eiji Sawamura Award and maybe even MVP. This offseason, he's coming to Major League Baseball...probably (god it would be embarrassing if he didn't).

    a few years back, when the buffaloes were a losing team continuously getting last place or similar, Yamamoto was often dubbed the Japanese deGrom (when he was playing for the mets) because of his sheer dominance and super low ERA, and well, because of how few runs the team would score during the games he starts. Now that the buffaloes are a winning team, nobody says that anymore, but he is still so dominant in Japan

    I'm Japanes intense NPB fan
    Everybody talking Sasaki is best in Japan
    Maybe in the future?
    Right now best pitcher is Yamamoto there is no doubt about it.
    Great first ball(good quality of 94 to 99mph), stable control , tons of braking ball with high quality each , how toughess , no injured from his experience(not throw much at his school term also), still young 25 years old.
    Literally complete pitcher like I've never seen before.
    This year Blake snell got cy young award and be on a FA market.
    Personaly congrats on him.
    However If I were owner of the team in MLB for example,I'm sure I'll pay to Yamamoto more and not get away with him for sure.

    Mets desperately need him. Only quality starter they have is senga and there’s nothing in the farm. Mets need to lock up young free agent pitchers this off-season. heard rumblings that the mets 2 priorities this offseason is Yoshinobu Yamamoto and julio urias.

    • @KenjiMapes
      @KenjiMapes ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes indeed Mets need to retool the starting rotation, add bullpen help, & add a big bat in the outfield. The Mets got criticism for their trades but we underachieved badly. We traded top players & future Hall of Famers who were older though; our window was short with them so it was smart to trade them. We had to pay a chunk of their salaries but we got some top prospects back which isn’t very common especially with the Mets. I was always puzzled & disappointed when the Mets traded good players at the deadline during bad seasons to contenders when we had leverage & other clubs were desperate for their stretch runs. Other clubs often got good prospects back but we usually didn’t. This time we got some exciting prospects who could very well be with the club soon & be important players, or we can flip them in a package to fill our holes.
      The Mets still have a solid core & team plus a restocked farm system. We have gotten younger & more athletic. Verlander & Scherzer are 39 & Robertson is 38; we can resign Robertson next year too. Canha is 36 & was a disappointment & Pham is 35 & was on a 1 year contract. Now we can start Mauricio or Acuna at 2B & move McNeil to LF. We can add another bat to outfield & also at DH as Vogelbach is not the answer.
      Anyway, Senga was a great signing & could recruit Yamamoto to the Mets. Having a Japanese teammate would provide a level of comfort too. Yamamoto would be the perfect addition to our staff. He’d help make the Mets rotation a top pitching staff again & help us set the team up for sustained success as he is young. Then we can sign Urias or Snell for example plus I hope we retain all of our homegrown players like Peterson who is versatile & under appreciated.
      The Mets let too many players go last year which affected team chemistry I think which is a contributing factor to the bad season. We added top prospects & got a lot younger & more athletic. With some smart but good additions like Yamamoto, the Mets can quickly retool & be a top contender again. The season was disappointing but unlike the short sighted baseball analysts I am really excited & happy with our trades. I really like OFs Drew Gilbert & Ryan Clifford who we got from the Astros & IF Luisangel Acuna who we got from the Rangers. Both are dynamic players who could be with the team soon & add excitement to the lineup as they are very toolsy. Gilbert is a hustler & gamer too which I love. He could be a similar player to Nimmo with even more speed & defense. Signing Yamamoto is a must though. I know Ohtani prefers staying on the West Coast but if we able to sign him, then we would be filthy. That’s be a ridiculous coup. Yamamoto & Ohtani would be a historic set of signings & perfect additions for the Mets. Let’s Go Mt!

    • @KenjiMapes
      @KenjiMapes ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tommyj653 🙂👍 I expect a big offseason of trades & free agent signings to revamp this team. We have a stacked farm system now. We got a lot younger & more athletic. We had older veterans with long & storied careers but a short window with Verlander & Scherzer that didn’t work out. Now Cohen & Billy can retool this roster for a strong 2024 & sustained future success. They have to get 2 top starters, retain & extend core guys, strengthen the bullpen, add a power bat in the outfield & improve the depth. If they make smart moves we should be back in the thick of things again. This season was a big disappointment but they made smart moves that help us in the future. I find it laughable that they criticized us trading two 39 year old aces & a bunch of 35+ year old outfielders who weren’t part of the long term future.
      We are still haunted by the ghosts of the Wilpons. In the past the Mets traded good players at the deadline when we were out of it for marginal prospects & junk. We got exciting top prospects who can be big pieces for the future or be used in trades for established players. The key is making the right moves. I believe in Uncle Steve! Let’s Go Mets!🟧🟦🙂👍🤘

    • @KenjiMapes
      @KenjiMapes ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tommyj653 🙂👍 Let’s do it! Hopefully Uncle Steve & GM Billy Eppler gift us a big offseason Contrary to the short sighted criticism, our trade deadline moves were smart & shrewd. We bet on older future Hall of Famers but it didn’t pan out with 39 year old aces Justin Verlander & Max Scherzer We traded 38 year old bullpen stud David Robertson who we can resign next year & traded 35+ year olds Mark Canha, Tommy Pham & Eduardo Escobar They weren’t in our long term plans We had a small window with these older but solid players & we underachieved. So Cohen & Eppler pivoted We have a future star in Alvarez & Baty’s revamping in the minors should help him because he has tons of talent We have a lot of solid prospects but unlike in the past when the Mets usually got marginal prospects with deadline deals, we got some exciting young top prospects back in trades & have stacked our minor league system. We have some important future pieces in the minors & some cam be used in trades for an established star or two. With some smart moves, we can be back in the hunt in 2024.
      Now Ohtani & Yamamoto in Mets uniforms n 2024 would be a dream. Ohtani could be the DH & a starter. Hopefully Kodai can recruit some Team Japan teammates to NY Met Orange & Blue🟧🟦 Let’s Go Mets❗️👊😊👍
