yes. As you can see from his results, he is by far number one. He might even win the Cy Young Award every year. Come to the Dodgers. Tanaka, Darvish, and Ohtani aren't even close to their feet. The results show
Tigers make the move
Yankees need The Admiral Yamamoto!
no east coast or NY team. you were wrong, he went to the Dodgers with Ohtani
Jolly- anyone ever say you look like the metal singer Dan Vasc? Check out his video - Amazing Grace. I kinda think you do.
Thank you for this video; I hope the Dodgers will sign him.
Hate to break all your hearts but he will be a SF Giant
mlb power pros music is elite
Don't sleep on Boston they're the reason why they fired Chaim Bloom and went with someone who won't be afraid to spend also ownership said theyll be in full throttle this offseason.
Agreed. They’d be my pick. Lots to prove, and SP 1 is the obvious need. Could potentially see them going the trade route instead.
@@kevinbarry6441I think out of any team Boston will a dark horse to land him they really need to upgrade their rotation which is already full of a young staff with the exception of Chris Sale I think they will make a major play to get him.
Cy Young winner Gerrit Cole sounds lovely
To be fair he can't say that he wouldn't like to play with another Japanese ballplayer. For one that would limit the bidding war. And it risks pissing off the future team Japan members he will play with at the next wbc.
Yeah that article got viciously mocked on Japanese baseball twitter. There seems to be this mindset that Japanese baseball culture has not evolved since the 1980s, when in reality it has. The only time we've really that come in to play is when Shohei said he didn't want to sign with the Mariners because he felt it was "Ichiro's team". That seems to have been extrapolated into the thinking that no Japanese player wants to sign with the Mariners.
Except... Ichiro wasn't the first Japanese Mariner, Kaz Sasaki was. And Ichiro didn't hinder the Mariners from signing Shigetoshi Hasegawa, Hisashi Iwakuma and Munenori Kawasaki.
@@GaijinBaseball he might want to forge his own path with a team who has never had a Japanese player but he can't say it if he does. And Seattle being the closest geographically to Japan would be the reason for the Mariners signing Japanese players more than any other team.
Great point! Although I think that whole aspect has been overblown. I mean they are used to playing with a full team of Japanese players & going to a new country across the globe, having someone who speaks your language & knows your culture can far outweigh the big brother aspect.
Japanese players don’t have a reluctance to play with other Japanese players, that Ken Rosenthal quote is just totally misinformed.
9:30 Gerrit Cole is only been a finalist... unless you know something we dont about this year Jolly 🤔
He’s winning definitely
Ohtani is now a Dodger. LA has the best chance to reel Yamamoto. Non debatable lol
baseball would do well forgetting the damn height of players. The amount of prospects that get passed over due their height is ridiculous.
Future Giant
12/20/23 and is aging well so far 😅
Throwing 4 No hitters in a more contact oriented league then the MLB is crazy.
Might be the first pitcher from Japan to win a Cy Young award in MLB.....
He’s also friends with Lars Nootbaar who went to visit him in Japan with Nolan Arenado and meet his family. Come to the greatest baseball city it the world! StL!!! Go Cards!
Plz for the love of God plz tell me mozeliak dosent screw this up
Why not the cubs Jolly? Didn’t give a reason for them
12:29 aged like milk XD
That jersey is spelled wrong it's Bronx 😅
The Yankees won't be outbid by another ball club. The Dodgers won't be in this sweepstakes since the historic signing of Shohei Ohtani today, $700 million for 10-years.
Given how much Othani is having deferred him going to LA seems likely
Oh this aged like milk
Uncle junior crying incessantly at that funeral is the funniest scene in a series that was packed with funny moments
Shame u didnt mention the dbacks! They are in on moto! They signed Greinke to a $206 million deal so they can spend too and coming off a WS appearance, they have a shot!!
Omg, Jolly cooked again.
As a totally biased Mets fan whose suffered way more than you I want us to get him
Mets baby.
Reds lets do it!!! ⚾🎉
Good video, but there’s no way he goes to either New York team.
well Dodgers just spent a billion and got two of the best players for the next decade
I don't understand why you rank him above Blake Snell, he has 2 Cy Young awards in both Al/NL for sure.
Gonna put him on the expos
He’s going to the Cardinals!
12:54 I’m actually gonna burn Fenway to the ground if we get Giolito lmao
