Just wanted to say that I love the fact that you are recycling, upcycling, its truley amazing, most things that are at least 50 years or older were made here with better materials and craftsmanship. Keep up the good work kids and God bless.. ml

Beautiful end table. I love redoing jewellery boxes for barbie furniture.

I sanded the top of my mom’s 1945 sewing cabinet ( it contained embroidery thread on rolls) , restained the top and painted the rest with off white chalk paint. Now it’s a pretty bedside table.

I definitely recommend paint stripper to remove previous paint on furniture and then sanding it. It’s a lot faster and gets the job done ✅

I love painting vintage jewelry boxes. They would make a darling dresser in a doll house. I love the nightstand.

Once again love what you have done with the recycling, always a pleasure when your new video alert pops up. You have a great eye not just for choosing pieces, but painting them just the right colour and then displaying them with other collected items, absolutely brilliant Elysia!

We're not allowed to scavange at our tip but we have a recovery shop next to the tip where people can drop off an/or buy discarded items to save them from landfill. We also have a street verge collection once a year where you can pick up unwanted household items. Yes! I'm always shocked to see what people throw out. But as they say, one person's trash is another's treasure. Keep up the recycling and upcycling. Good stuff. 🙏😁💕

Use a cabinet scraper or a straight sharpened knife, it’s quicker than sanding and you won't be generating so much fine dust protect your lungs. I wish we found great things like that over here

I went thrift shopping and I’m so delighted…I got a Pampered Chef oval dish retails for $65 and I paid $5, large basket and three smaller baskets for $9, a coffee press retails $35 for $4, now I can make my own special coffee with cocoa and cinnamon….I have hunted flea markets for old Christmas ornaments that I never pay more then $3 for and numerous ones are collectible. I bought a old fashion pine tree with the wood center for $10 last year, pine wreaths I remake into seasonal wreaths., a heavy hand crocheted Afghan that is so warm and a hand cut picture with a beautiful saying….I love thrifting but our dumps are closed in with fencing and locked gates……I’d be afraid someone would track me down for stealing trash…🤣

Love the night stand. I have a dresser that I bought from someone. It came out of a hotel so it has a formica removable top. I actually bought 3 of them one for each bedroom. It has 9 drawers, a console style dresser. The drawers and drawer pulls match exactly. I may decide to paint mine. The other 2 I gave away to a family whose house burned down. Love your channel. I'm a new subscriber and have been binge watching.

I am officially addicted to your channel! If I had to narrow it down to one video, (which is really hard by the way) It would have to be the "how to paint buffalo plaid". I have been looking for a detailed video, that would teach how to paint it. And make it look like real fabric, I absolutely love it! Thank you so much for your videos, they have honestly inspired me to think twice about the things I dispose of.
