My parents moved to assisted living from their home of over 50 years in December, 2023. They are 95 and 99. A grandson bought the family home and he acquired the family stool. It never had a back like the one you found, but it has the folding steps. If someone in the family hadn’t bought the house, I would have taken the stool for myself. So many memories in one little seat!
I had one of these from my mom also. I redid the seat and back with new vinyl. It worked out great. The wood was still good so didn't need to replace it. My granddaughter uses it at her art desk.
The 1st 2 chairs I would not have put the decal on the back so it could be seen at all times. The Adirondack chair Looks beautiful in the green. The stool you made is cute it what stops the split in the front of the seat ?
I do love all the up cycles you have done today the two that I especially like the chair step stool, which I also remember in my grandmother’s kitchen, and the Adirondack chair. You have so much talent thank you for sharing.
I had to smile at your last recycle. My late mother had, by necessity, a make-do life. She took a backless chair, made a cushion for it, edged it with a hanging down ruffle and it served as my desk chair for years!
I love the Cosco Chair that you did first. I have one and I’m going to remove the seat, back and steps and redo it just like you did. I’ve had it for a few years and couldn’t decide how I wanted to redo it. Thank you for the inspiration 💕💕💕
Love all these projects .. you are lucky to find these items left out by people. I live in South Africa..we don’t find items like these left out to rescue
They were all beautiful, but the first one brought me Some wonderful memories. Today's Quote: ""Kindness is giving hope to those who think they are all alone in this world". I used to bring things home to use. One time I found a beautiful dresser, it had bed bugs. We spent so much money getting rid of them Now my other half doesn't want me to pick up stuff. 😢Huge hugs. Namaste 🐞🐞🐞
there must be a spray of some kind to kill any bugs on stuff before you bring them in your house ....now I am scared cause I am about to buy a cedar dresser
We had the spray from the do it your self pest control. We had an issue before we used it. Contact your local pest control they definitely know more than me. I didn't want to scare you I'm terribly sorry I just thought someone would have an answer. Today's Quote: "We shouldn't be afraid to embrace whimsy, that nagging idea that life be magical; it could be special if we were only to take a few risks." -Donald Miller. Huge hugs. Namaste 🐞🐞🐞
A good steamer with a splash of vinegar in it kills bed bugs! You may want to do a couple treatments just to be sure. No expensive chemicals or professionals necessary.
I love them all, but the first one Is my favorite because my childhood memories of us Having one of them came back And swelled love in my ❤️ Ty so much 💓
Love your upcycles, all of them, but my heart belongs to the adirondack chair! I salvaged a similar one from my neighbor across the street. When they put it out, I waited until dark to snatch it up b/c I was a little embarrassed, since I didn't know them well. When my house went up for sale & she brought a client through, we laughed about it! My favorite method of distressing is the candlewax---I think it produces the most authentic chippines!
I'm in the process of painting some outdoor chairs and a small couch. Looking great so far then some new cushions will complete the job. I also redid two indoor chairs i got for free from the same people's driveway. They came out gorgeous and completely different
All four turned out beautifully 😍 I love watching you work magic on those discarded pieces!😊 And you are a great narrator. Giving clear , easy directions of all you are doing and using
Came across 3 dining chairs for those counter high tables. 2 yrs later, at the same place I saw the 4th chair. Then 3 mos later the table. All from the same place put out for big idem pick up. I liked them all
GREAT JOB` You are really great at upcycling because you have creativity and vision. You most certainly are most certainly not the average crafter. Thanks so much for sharing your talents! I liked the step stool project the best. What a transformation!
What you have done with these tossed chairs is phenomenal. Watching your videos is such an inspiration. Thanks. Why did you glue the spindles only to cut them off? 😊

Finding it brought back so many memories so it was nice to restore one thanks for watching
My mom’s stool like the one you have is bright red! It sat just under the phone on the wall in the kitchen. I have it now!
@@Tla81 I recall our stool being bright red at one time. It got recovered at some point.
It makes my heart smile when people truly save items from the landfill. Love the wood replacements on the first chair!!!
Glad you enjoyed
I love all of the chairs. The green Adirondack chair looks so comfortable. You found great pieces.
Thanks so much!
I love that grandma stool and the stool from the chair!!! All are wonderful!!! You give us such good ideas!!!!
Glad you enjoyed thanks so much for watching
I am always amazed at your makeovers and things you find at the landfill! The first makeover was my favorite. I love love how that turned out!
Thank you so much!!
WOW! The granny stool chair took my breath away! Simply perfect and I’d love one in my home❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes, I remember one at mother's house.

So cool!
They all turned out great

The step chair and the Adirondack chair are my favorites, but all turned out beautifully. ❤
Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching.
Adirondack is a weird word people have started using incorrectly as it actually means TREE KILLER
I think the most transformed was the first one but the Adirondack chair was my fav...love those
Glad you enjoyed. Thanks for watching.
I do love all the up cycles you have done today the two that I especially like the chair step stool, which I also remember in my grandmother’s kitchen, and the Adirondack chair. You have so much talent thank you for sharing.
Wonderful!
Love all. My mother in law had the chair/stool. Wish we still had it. Darn
Keep your eye open for another one. Glad you enjoyed.
Loved the kitchen chair and the Adirondack.
Yay, thank you!
These were all great up cycles. My favorite was the kitchen step chair, brings back memories of my childhood 😊
Love that!
The first stool is really cute. I think some rubber pieces on the legs so they don't scratch the floor would be a great addition.
Yes I ordered some but weren’t delivered in time for video
I had to smile at your last recycle. My late mother had, by necessity, a make-do life. She took a backless chair, made a cushion for it, edged it with a hanging down ruffle and it served as my desk chair for years!
Great memories
It’s hard to choose, they’re all so different and so beautiful. I pick the kitchen chair (#1)
I totally agree!
I ❤ that you saved all of these
Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed.

Watching people use a jigsaw is So satisfying! I want one so bad! ❤
I love it!
Love all these projects .. you are lucky to find these items left out by people. I live in South Africa..we don’t find items like these left out to rescue
That’s unfortunate. I wish there was more places where you could do this.
All are cool but I love the granny stool and the chair/stool at the end.
Thanks
