man no matter how many videos I see of father/son project, I can't get over how badass it is that you're teaching your son your trade and having him do his own work and getting the hands on experience. that's to me is worth more than money and flashy things. keep it man. got mad respect for a man being a father first over everything.
sorry about the part in the middle where it is all laggy...i don't know how that happened. It's only a small part, but i know that shit is annoying! just ride it out it gets back to normal fast. haha thanks!
I thought something was going wrong with my damn video card or my cpu was getting maxed. I was sitting here like "dafuck man. I have an 8 core. nothing should be maxing my cpu" lol
steve if you are using 120mm pc fans i suggest noctua industrial 120mm 300 rpm fans or one of deltas 120mm high rpm offerings deltas they both last a long ass time and preform great
Man Steve I have a lot of respect for you, I used your dd-1 to tune my system not too long ago and I kept reading no 40 hz signal through it. I used a pioneer HU and I assumed it was great, I had no CD player and downloaded your test tones and still; no reading, so I bass boosted and soon as I read it I saw distortion! So I Assumed wow omg I spent this money on this distortions detector that didn't work, well I reread the manual and it says it's the HU therefore I gave it another chance, bought a much nicer HU (I thought this deserved one more shot since your pretty damn good at this stuff). So I bought another pioneer with a little extra money, and damn it worked, I have went through 5... Yes 5 different brands of subwoofers and speakers trying to find a good clean sound, and after I tuned this system with my new HU it sounded cleaner then my JL audio sub on my old HU, I now have a pioneer sub at 1000w rms, that slams the lows at the cleanest signal I've ever heard. Thank you so much.
+meade916 hey Steve, teach Anthony to wear Oakleys. JK Lol. So he can more like you. Keep up the great work. Love the father and son videos. I wish me and my pops had more things in common other than the SA Spurs!!!
Damn Steve I know I'm old of all the things in this video I got the most excited just seeing you and your son doing something you love together when I get the chance I do the same thing nothing like testing the knowledge you gave them keep up the good work bro.
Your son's facial expression don't make it clear that he's interested, but looking at him doing his business tells me I'm so wrong haha. That one hell of an amp rack bro, and oh my god those fans take less than a second to clear the chamber. Thanks for the awesome video bro!
A Steve how olds ur son? I've been subscribed to ur channel since he was a shorty lol he's all grown up now. That's watsup that Father & Son stick together to do what dey love best all kind of systems. U guys are a kickass team together and tell ur son to keep up the gd wrk. 👍👍 Ur an awesome Father Steve 💯👍👍
damn man wish i could be doing car audio. car audio is my life i try and find was to get as much bass and sound quality out of any speaker or subwoofer i get my hands on iv been watching your shit since the beggining meade.
Great to see you and your son working together Steve. Very clean rack also and very nice. Wish I could live a life like yours working on Car Audio, its really my dream. But i dont have a car and i dont have money lol. More power to you and SMD
Damm now that looks badass with those leds... wish I could take my truck so it could be customized like that... at least with more powerful amp and subs and some custom shit like the lights and amp rack I would love it
awesome build steve, love the engineering, everything there serves a purpose, from the grooves to the holes. I was wondering if you were going to make them all exhaust so it draws air from the bottom under the amps, but that push pull set up moves some air!
His son is hella lucky to have him as a dad, even tho I love my dad, but when my beat was stolen out of my car, my dad was like "you don't need all that bullshit in your car anyways", lol, but I love my old man, and I also love bass
if that happens to him i will be just as upset as he is...and help him get new shit as soon as possible. I don't know why our dads are not like we are. Oh well...different times i guess. thanks man!
Could anyone here explain to me. how to run dual radios one as a receiver for the other? i got a newer car and it reads out all the TPMS- and MPG and a bunch of the main functions for the car go through the factory radio.
@Erik Anderson: "We were just hitting the sensor with the heat gun" "hitting the sensor with the heat gun" "with the heat gun" "heat gun" H E A T G U N
how much would something like this run for? i have a 2016 mega ram. with 3 RF amps. (t-1500, t-800/4 and t-600/2)i really want it done. can you let me know?
Steve I've been wanting to get my system pimped by you since the 90s, how much would it take for you to build one of these for me for my American Bass amps both VFL 1 is a 5k the other 's 250.4 heck I'm in the middle of actually trying to get someone here in Long Beach that's as good as you to help me build my new system 2 VFL pro series 12s 2000 rms ea, 1 VFL 5k amp, 1 250.4 amp American Bass Stealth series 6.5, 2 American Bass tweeters in the rear doors, Then The Symphony 6.5 components in the front doors got those door speakers and the 250.4 already instaled, but I need the rest done new box build Bob says 6 cubic feet for these 12s, need amp rack and battery rack and placement built I want that fan amp rack you just made but for my American Bass VFL amps and my Epicenter as well needs to go in that. if you know someone here or hell if you'll give a man a long time dream of a Steve Meade Design I'll Drive to Sac just to get the stuff done right the 1st time all this going into a 2004 Cadillac Seville I'm almost certain this would be one he'll of challenge for you due to the trunk space I think this is why everyone's scared to mess with my car.
i must say u r great at what u do would u happen to know how to bypass the electronic load detector so i could run it properly plz thank u in advance if you could help due to the fact I'm sure you are a very busy man
+sean korver the dust that would affect you is so fine it wouldn't settle, smart move would be a dust mask, I can't complain tho, I did carpentry in college and never wore one
what up steve that's bad ass bro.... when can I bring you my sub box design so you can take a look and see if it can be done on your cnc machine thanks.......
Salvador Cisneros many local woodshops or fab shops will cnc for you at minimal cost for private projects, more for multiple or commercial means as they need their chunk of the pie too😊

The ones he has will work fine. I doubt he wants to spend $20+ each on fans that won't be on all the time.
i don't need any suggestions. But thanks anyway, just in case i did.
Father and son is amazing. Most dads are not around. Big props to you steve
Freaking awesome!!! It's insane to see your son doing all this stuff like he's been installing for 40 years. Crazy talented👏

Looks good!!! Awesome work as always!
Your work amazes me man!
that is sweet especially doing it with your son
Are one set of cooling fans facing inwards and the other set facing outwards so the air could circulate?
Where is the best spot to put the thermostat piece that reads the temp? Above amp? Under? Where’s it go
Super clean job guys!!!👌
Awesome man great work on the amp box.
that's good work, I always enjoy your work, keep it up.
looks good Steve
Love the build with your son man. Is he thinking of upgrading soon? 👀
His son is hella lucky to have him as a dad, even tho I love my dad, but when my beat was stolen out of my car, my dad was like "you don't need all that bullshit in your car anyways", lol, but I love my old man, and I also love bass

Great video Steve!!!

are the fans blowing in or pulling out the hot air or three blowing and three pulling?
Why did it get so much more hotter when you cut the fans on?
it didn't. We were just hitting the sensor with the heat gun to make the fans move....just to show air movement.
And what's causing the heat if the amps ain't even hooked up
meade916 i gotcha my bad
@Erik Anderson: "We were just hitting the sensor with the heat gun"
"hitting the sensor with the heat gun"
"with the heat gun"
"heat gun"
H E A T G U N
Awesome work!
Hey Steve, Great video, high quality work.... Is your Son hobbying or following in the Old Man's footsteps?
looks amazing. love your work
ubber clean box. why not install led fans?
how much would something like this run for? i have a 2016 mega ram. with 3 RF amps. (t-1500, t-800/4 and t-600/2)i really want it done. can you let me know?
one bad ass workshop
What does the amp cooling rack normally cost to house 2 amps
Can the amps and capacitor be attached to the sub box or does it affect with the vibration?
Mr.Meade what kind of wood glue do you prefer?
Would you ever make these amp racks to sell and if so how much for one going in the same type of vehicle.
beautiful work what were your dimensions on the amp rack cause am doing two Soundqubed 2200.1 and a Soundqubed 120x4
Where's his eye protection during routing?

the Flux capacitor?
+meade916 they are in honda fuse boxes they tell the alternator to run in high output or low output mode
Hey thinking I'm gonna build myself a amp rack. Should I put my power capacitor in with the rack or leave it outside of it??
Another clean ass job!
thanks Luis!!!
+meade916 No problem brother!
what was your dimensions am doing a similar set up with three amp's
3:25 what are those called?
They're called threaded inserts.
Isn't the dust from mdf said to be as bad as asbestos?
pretty much.
pretty much.
yea thats why you didnt see him blow it,that was a smart move.
+sean korver the dust that would affect you is so fine it wouldn't settle, smart move would be a dust mask, I can't complain tho, I did carpentry in college and never wore one
+John Edwards yea the best thing to is wear a mask
what up steve that's bad ass bro.... when can I bring you my sub box design so you can take a look and see if it can be done on your cnc machine thanks.......
sorry i don't really offer that service at this time.
I know bro.its all good....
