AOE 2 is not dead. It's evolved and still on with Definitive Edition. Currently having 45 civilizations. The Conquerors was a best expansion we used to play.
I was a huge fan of AOE 1 And used to observe people playing aoe1 in cyber cafe for hours during 2000-2001 It was whole new game for me, i wasnt having pc or any other mean for playing, during my studies. And one fine day, i got a free 1 HOUR coupon from a newly open cyber cafe in PUNE, named Pearl Palace. I went there with a friend and checked games installed there. And to my shock, it was having AOE 2 MY MIND WAS BLOWN AWAY i player a campaign for 1 hour with my free coupon. The story of the campaign got printed in my memory. My hero walking among a council, dueling an enemy and winning, going back to another person, getting a horse ans transforming into a beautiful paladin lancer, Paladin Hero with Pike. Everything was mesmerizing and i can recall every bit of that beautiful memory even after 24 years. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Age of Empires... RTS...which defined my gaming existence those days.
My dad told me this game is really fun when I was really young, I played it like crazy everyday now some years later me and my friends play it when we have nothing to do the AOE 1 definitive and AOE 2 definitive Editions.
