I haven't seen this game so far and I feel the greatest amount of regret flowing through me right now. If only everything could be cured with 50 minutes of youtube consumption, right guys?
Alright, now that I've seen it I feel like I aged about 6 months in those 50 minutes. What a legendary game but just watching it stresses me out like crazy. Crazily well played by both players.
That is a really cool map. I like how fishing is behind a tree line, how there is a safe spot for villagers to chop wood, how you can wall off the water with a dock and the southwest area between the two being full of gold in a chokepoint.
T90 said it perfect about Viper's class. Viper just kept doing oddball type strats but his ability to use strategic unit-by-unit plays to take advantage of Vivi's weaknesses was unreal. I think his bad wrist is showing but the ability to strategically pick the most viable micro moments is just the classiest shit I've ever seen.
Since the addition of the civs, I love how both the Poles and Lithuanians have anti-armor unique units. Because the most common enemies for them together in the history were the Teutons and the Russians (represented by Slavs) that both have their UUs being "a walking slab of armor".
If Viper knew about the outskirts and kept his trebs alive more he would have won this game and made it a sick comeback Also Vipers greed keeps haunting him, no walling, no gates no nothing
Amazing game. stunning. but one question i need to ask. You talked the whole game about cuttin to outside. Here 36:29 you can clearly see, that viper didnt cut to outside. He just walked the shore line. He did not have cut through at this point. That vill just did go around. As i thought should be the smartest way anyhow. go around with 3-5 vills make TC and have a nice protected "island". Or am I dumb? 35:57 is the time where i see the vill start in vipers base its run to the glory outside land :-)
Does anyone remember a game called “Star Wars galactic battlegrounds”??? It was basically a AOE copy but with Star Wars tech, and man that game was fun lol. I remember my cousin showing me that game when I was like 7 and I got addicted to it so quick lol
? when u chop thru shoreline, you can send your vills outside res rich area. no need to have another chopped line in the middle. am I wrong? why the snek waited that long I have no idea. please t90, tell those guys to change the meta on this map
@@skipper472 Tatoh already had a hard-counter unit on the field in the handcannons, and Poles only get pikes, not halberdiers, which will get eaten by Teuton paladin
@@skipper472 I know I'm a month late here but also poles don't actually get halberdier- they're limited to pikes and thus have to rely on the armor-stripping abilities of obuch for taking out cavalry
Love watching games where Viper plays from behind. Well, you could argue he wasn't behind at several points... but what I'm saying is he's a player who doesn't go down without a fight and it makes for some really great games.
I'm guessing he accidentally clicked the tc foundation initially, then hit stop so that they'd auto-attack any other units that might come over, but it's better to imagine he did it for the sword synchronisation.
Syncing the units attacks allows you to see how much building hp is being taken per swing which makes it easier to figure out how much time you have to look away before returning to manage the army further. But hey @seabomb might be right 😁 Long live GAIA_!
Not gonna lie, this video’s title simultaneously piqued my interest due to its superlative-ness while also instinctually putting me off due to its clickbaity-ness. Which is to say that I clicked into this one with the utmost of reluctance and hesitancy. But oh my, how glad I am that I did - this was, by a significant margin, the best game I’ve ever seen. I quite literally couldn’t tell you how many moments there were throughout the match where I thought for sure one of the players had the game in hand, only for the other player to then proceed to furiously claw their way back into it. Within the final five minutes alone the two sides alternately made pushes and appeared to be on the cusp of victory back-and-forth at least three times, the last of these being the push that actually did end things. What a truly great game. As an aside, like I said before, this was by far the best AoE2 game I’ve ever seen; I’m curious if there have been any other legendary matches of a similar caliber over the past few years. If anyone has any recommendations, please do let me know in a reply.
Great game, though coming from watching Starcraft II tournaments it just seems to me as though these players are slow to react (plenty of idle workers) and dont seem to micro that well their armies (small scattered clumps dying instead of pulling in reinforcements that are right next to them, attacking the highest HP treb instead of first finishing off the low HP ones etc).

I have even more respect for these pros. I watch these at work. I watched so many that I began to think I could play well. Ha no, no I can't, as I learned in my first 10 ranked matches. I only won 3 and one of those I really shouldn't of. My opponent lost a large archer army to a double mangonel shot and rage quit. Elo in the 800s and falling.
I am only watching this because I am already subscribed so I already know I enjoy your videos. Otherwise, as a new viewer, I wouldn't click on a video titled like this in 1000 years. This title is about as bad of a cliche as starting the video with "WHATS UP GUYS"
Tatoh should've gone Teutonic Knight. It counters everything Viper was putting out. Would've stopped him losing so many trebs/bombard cannons. I feel like pros underrate it because its slow.
Obuchs are pretty close to a hard counter for Teutonic Knights, because they remove armor. The Knights will win 1-on-1, but they cost much more and they'll be useless afterwards - nothing but expensive, slow targets.

I never expected how interesting the Mandelbrot set would be as an AoE2 map.
This was a true epic masterpiece of a game this entire Titans League thus far!!
