- UNESCO (Paris) - All-Star Global Concert at UNESCO Headquarters featured stellar performances by Dee Dee Bridgewater, A Bu (China), Igor Butman (Russia), Herbie Hancock, Al Jarreau, Ibrahim Maalouf (Lebanon), Hugh Masekela (South Africa), Marcus Miller, Guillaume Perret (France), Dianne Reeves, Claudio Roditi (Brazil), Wayne Shorter, Dhafer Youssef (Tunisia) and many other internationally acclaimed artists.
John Beasley served as the evening’s Musical Director.

Jag älskar så här! I mitt land tycker vi mycket om Jazzmusik. Jag gillar att se dessa fantastiska artister som spelar sitt bästa & i en så härlig arena, i en så utmärkt stad också. Jag besökte Paris förra året och jag älskade det där! Jag måste gå tillbaka & nästa gång, jag hoppas höra så underbar musik! Tack för att du delar. :-)

Bijna alle componisten componeren stukken zonder dat daar een verhaal achter zit. De Amerikaanse 5-voudige award winaar pianist & componist Emily Bear (14) doet dat anders, achter al haar muzuekstukken zit een verhaal. De oudste compositie die zij zichzelf kan herrineren is "Sunday Morning". Emily was 3 jaar oud en speelde in de tuin. De zon scheen. Emily kreeg toen een idee voor een composite en rende het huis binnen en ging achter de piano zitten en componeerde zo "Sunday Morning".. As we live, we are all slowly decaying. I enjoyed Al's performance. He fused his words with the music with no instruments, but his words and voice. What talent. Enjoyed.

Loved the concert but the the audio engineer was terrible. The sound mix was not good- sometimes you would see a close up of an instrument and the sound level of such instrument was too or barely discernible. Also in addition to the voice overs identifying the band or musicians, it would have been nice to see for 5 seconds the name of the bank or vocalist superimposed on the screen....
