And actully Nepal at that time was near Sikh empire so much so that some part of today Punjab state actully have Nepali land that Nepal gave to British. He charges very highly tax from public..also the main drawback was that he didn't built up any strong education system..he imprisoned her mother in law The great Sardarni Sada Kaur (chief of the Kanhaiya Misl from 1789 to 1821).. he just influence people by adopting various religious rituals..there were many more drawbacks of his jurisdiction. He didn't made good relations with dogras which resulted one of most important reasons behind the sunset of sikh rule.
lol.. the Education System in Maharaja Ranjit Singh's rule was best around the World, even the Britishers copied and applied that system in their own country. Every person of every house was educated until 1861, when Britishers demolished Punjab and all its schools..
