The “Bat ears” do serve a purpose in modern Batman interpretations, that’s where his communication related tech is. He’s basically got super high tech AirPods in them

The cape is used to mask his movements while fighting that's why it's whipping around all the time, if his enemies can't see what his legs and arms are doing that's a pretty big advantage.

Petty martial artists need 2 rechamber out of habit. Batman rechambers only when he needs to. Puny martial artists judging batman. 😄😄😄😄
Also, when you sprint and kick, your forward motion should keep going to have a more powerful kick. Retracting works if you're standing still and want to give the enemy a chance to hit you, but Batman is always dodging from eyesight

It's like I always say, you can have the speed and the style but if you don't have the strength and the power behind your attacks then it doesn't really matter how fast you are when you're attacks aren't doing anything. I hear Samurai had capes that would deflect arrows.. Something about while riding on horseback and having the cape blowing in the wind, it catches the arrows. And those capes had a slightly different design than Batman's.. They kinda looked like large plastic bags I think.

@@Gamology Yeah, it was a silk cape, called a Horo; as the samurai would ride, it would catch the window and billow outward into the shape of a balloon. When arrows would hit it, the structure would deflate partially, and the arrow's momentum would get caught up in the silk. Of course, while riding, it would billow up again very quickly. It could catch several arrows. Nobody knows how many, because escaping on horseback is a tricky target to hit with a bow and arrow under the best of circumstances.
I'm not 100% certain as I can't find images or video; but I think historical weapons expert Mike Loades may have been the one who tested the effectiveness of the Horo.
Wish they'd have shown more of them reacting to Nightwing; his moves are among the fanciest and hardest to pull off from the game's cast imo

I love this game because of the dedication that they brought with martial arts styles.
Each character has a unique fighting style, nothing repeats.
Cooler than this only when two characters fight togheter.

I think what he meant was someone as well versed in martial arts as Batman would be disciplined enough to block after that motion...but I do agree, that fight was over and Batman knew it.

Just compare the form with e.g. GingerNinjaTrickster‘s Form.
You wanna build habits tho. If you think you’ve finished a fight and so you stop caring about defensive form, but your opponent’s somehow still up, it could be a bad day for you.
The thing about that extra quarter-second is, it’s better to do it when you don’t need to, than need to when you don’t do it. Make sure you’re safe first, exit combat mode last.

@Chris Gaming 😂 the leg would fly off and become a lethal weapon.
@Chris Gaming you can strengthen ligaments and tendons but they heal much slower and so take longer to strengthen. People that do a striking art when they first do and are hitting the heavy bag it is important they don't hit too hard because their body and ligaments aren't able to take that force yet and occasionally it snaps, like you bicep rolls up in itself. Putting a controlled amount of strain will strengthen them over time
Just to be clear, Batman’s “ears” are part of the radio coma within his cowl.

Batman is a master of all martial arts and all forms combat hand to hand and with weapons and is not only a genius in wise but is also a genius on the battlefield.
Which makes him just as unrealistic as Superman. No one has that much free time to learn every form of martial arts. He's the Mary Sue of DC comics.
@@blackRXrider he's more realistic than superman or most fictional heroes, a genius billionaire dedicates himself to learning as much as he can about martial arts some he learned as batman from other league members like wonder woman, Orion and aquaman to protect the city he loves making sure what happened to him doesn't happen to anybody else, he trains his body to peak Olympic level and studies every hero and villain possibly due to paranoia to make sure he's not caught off guard, he has lucius fox to run Wayne enterprises for him and alfred to cover for him at Wayne manor only appearing for the occasional charity function, the rest of the time is spent training.

I usually don’t enjoy these types of videos because a lot of times the experts just pick apart the flaws without it being fun. This was pretty great though because they pointed out mistakes while also enjoying it and having a good time.

You should show them the new Spider-Man game, he utilizes martial arts techniques in his fighting style
I honestly feel like Batman can be forgiven for not re-chambering his kick since that was the last guy in the fight and that kick knocked him out. Brining your guard back up isn't really necessary when you've just fully neutralized the threat IMO.
I Love these two talking about Fighting in video games. Someone needs to ask these two to be in they own video game or be DLC's in the Street of Rage 4 or in 5 if they do a part 5.
They talked about like one martial arts thing, and the other 95% of the video is just them reacting to fights without actually reacting with their expertise. This is fun, but it does not belong on the Experts React series.

Hello there, I've seen some of these reaction videos before and I always enjoy seeing others react to stories or movies that I love. I just wanted to leave this comment here, as I feel that, as someone who has experienced The Arkham Series for myself, I might just have an explanation for your criticisms from that particular moment during the action.
During that moment, when the camera zooms in on Batman side-kicking that enemy and everything is in slow motion, that sort of scenario in the story typically only happens when Batman is facing a SINGLE opponent; this applies to Arkham City as well.
So I agree with the stance that lowering your leg during that kick instead of immediately pulling it back would leave one vulnerable, but perhaps Batman is doing this intentionally, as he is just finishing off the last of the opponents he was fighting in the area, so therefore he wouldn't need to worry about defending himself since everyone else is already down.
Just a thought I suppose! Either way, thanks for the video, and have a good night!!!

When Batman did that sloppy kick he was already done so it doesn’t really matter if he did it right or not
When he was talking about the side kick, Batman didn’t need to worry about getting attacked since that was the final enemy, as shown with the final close up. This explains his form and why he kept himself exposed, because no one was left to attack.

I feel like their martial arts like with the spinning flips like that would never work in a real fight. I know it was just for show, but their martial arts could work, but in a street fight, no. Blocks are to slow, your counting on your opponent not to wail on you and to fight civilly.
