The only way I know is to drill or punch those out and you did not show these. would have been nice to see how to replace the tweeters on the dash and that was not shown. and where were the Allen wrenches used that was never specified. using a metal flat head screwdriver against paint will cause scratches something with a rubber on it would have been better. some steps were shown the easy ones the rest was not shown

DatBoyCountry352 this is a good video for passat sub placement. Unfortunately it’s probably a grip to have some build it. There are little to no aftermarket boxes for this vehicle unfortunately. I did see a guy on eBay who was selling boxes, but it depends on your trunk if it is the correct video. Front Factory’s speaker is one way woofer on the bottom and one tweet on the upper part. The rear factory’s speaker is one way woof integrated an visual tweeter.
It has to be a pretty poor result, if only the rear speakers are plugged in. (Not only does step 6 only mention plugging in the speakers in the rear, but the front door card is actually installed over a speaker, that isn't plugged in.) From the other comments, I see that with these speakers, you don't need a subwoofer to get that "amazing sound quality", but surely, you'd have to at least plug in these "amazing sound quality" speakers? ;-)
This video has like no instructions in it. It could have literally been "one step process. Step one: Change the speakers in the doors. You're done" I'm not gonna shit on your work, but bruh...

also didn't mention that those were not pliers those were metal cutting shears.
And the rivets were already removed!
Why You didn't mention that it's necessary to drill out original rivets before removing speaker???
