As a ZZZ player it is incredibly annoying when Genshin and WuWa players keep trash talking it even though the community just wants to enjoy the game and have fun. The same is happening already with Endfield with them calling it a Genshin/WuWa copy. Looking forward to more varied content from you!
they dont know what they talking about. 1. endfield is not open world but semi openworld 2. there is no qte switch mechanic and all units fight alongside u like a real jrpg ala tales of or xenoblade chronicles 3. the combat is more inspired to final fantasy 7 than genshin and wuwa (skill bar is like ATB bar) so yeah, these people are talking out of their ass. lol
I hope Endfield is able to veer away from this whole thing and has its own place in gacha space without being a part of this weird tribal war. But that's probably impossible. WuWa vs Genshin is just very heated because the very nature of WuWa is "anti-Genshin". Endfield and those other games might be able to just keep to themselves, relatively.

in my experience and observation toxicity only exists on certain CCs circle and their fanboys as they usually create artificial drama and attacks the other games but there are also a lot of other CCs which I had a very good experience overall in their community.
Can't remember a single time community drama ever affected my gameplay 😂 Doesn't matter who hates who/what. People still play what they want and thats what matters 😂
I think tribalism is a real problem in the YT + reddit space, and I think the result will be negative for every game where the players get too tribalistic. When Genshin players glaze Genshin, it's bad for their game, and also, when WuWa players glaze WuWa, it's also bad for their game beccause neither game will feel the need to improve. Genshin has QoL features that WuWa doesn't have, and vice versa. If I see a feature I like in WuWa, I'll mention it in a Genshin survey, and the same for things I like in Genshin that would be good for WuWa. I hope both games continue to be successful and force each other to improve their QoL features, and if Ananta and Endfield are also successful, hopefully that will force Genshin and WuWa to improve their games even more.

Ive been playing gacha games since Brave Frontier times, I just play the game, I don't care about the Communities around them, If I like the game, Ill play the game.

I been playing Wuwu since day 1... and the last many months, I am sick of the wuwu community. Its became a drama-fest hoyo attacking, glazing community. They just cant help themself. They instigate attacks on Genshin/Hoyo and they dont have the self awarness to see its them causing the problems. Saintanos is the worst CC for wuwu just marginly over Tectone. Thats an achievement not to be proud of. It gives me brainrot watching his content now. Hes worsing the image of Wuthering, I really wished the wuthering waves community was chill , but there not. If you say something on reddit thats not glazing or agreeing with the mass, you get downvoted to kiingdom come. Part of this reason is because wuwu got to big, so these people who dont care about the integrity of the game, just want to stir drama for clicks and views. And a tool to attack Genshin. I still like playing wuwu, but its so annoying to have to put up with a community like that. Why cant people accept, that you can play both wuwu and hoyo games and have fun. I play ZZZ occionally, I cry myself to sleep everynight after loosing the miyabi pitty.

I would say there is tribalism in every gacha community but not everyone in them have this mindset, there are some bad apples that would make the game hard to enjoy however it would be best to avoid interacting with them but being a content creator for gachas it is unavoidable all it takes is something to go wrong in a game for them to start going after people even if you try to stay away from it case and point the Genshin Anniversary drama where they review bomb Google Classroom. All I can say about the video is that enjoy the games that you enjoy, criticising a game fairly shouldn't bring in negativity if there are people who are sensitive to it make sure that you remember that it is for the betterment of the game not everyone criticising your favourite game is saying the game is bad.

Anything going mainstream or becoming commonplace will inevitably create it's own tribalism that's just human nature because people invested their time and even worse now money due to the predatory nature of gacha games. We've seen this played throughout from console wars to MMOs and now gacha games. As for judging a game, you can't isolate a dev team and their passion away from the parent company because the company and their investors will always have a final say in it. Genshin could never was started by the HSR community. And now that same HSR community is disgruntled because they're going through the same lull that Genshin went through. Who's to say ZZZ won't eventually go through the same cycle especially now that Hoyo has dominated the gacha space for a few years now and showing no bend to the will of the players unless the game itself was a flop and affecting their bottomline that they have to take rapid measures.

from all games ZZZ is now also my favourite and this started with 1.3 on yanagis release. her special episode was good but then 1.4 came and it was pure cinema! my only gripe with the game was that they forced me to do tv mode in story and i dont hate that aspect of the game. I loved doing that vault rouge like event. but when they make story only stage based it took the top spot for me. especially the amount of cutscenes we get! Also im playing wuwa too and cant wait for endfield!

Interesting how this video comes out just as I had recently quit both WuWa and Genshin. I have major gripes with the monetization of one, and gameplay and quality of the other. But those communities are just insufferable and very cult-like. Endfield and Promillia can't come soon enough, but I'm loving it here on the GFL2 side of things, I just need a main game to complement it.
Let me know if this is a controversial take. Tribalism is healthy for constant growth in the space; it encourages competition, and thus, further betterment of the games that are in competition with each other. There’s a reason why Genshin only added a new endgame after WuWa released. There’s a reason why it started adding in more QoLs and finally gave out a free standard 5 star selector only after WuWa released. I personally don’t think the gacha tribalism issue is a big deal; it’s entertaining to watch tbh. At the end of the day, competition drives developers to make the better game to capture the consumer, especially since they share the same consumers.
Gacha Tribalism is not a big deal, it is for people that feels that they are inferior in terms of gameplay, mechanics as well as the feedback of the game that are being given to them. They could not accept the truth and instead gaslight people with their dumb takes. It does not matter anyway, atleast when taking in controversies and how different types of people handles it is pretty much fun to watch. It's like seeing a rabid dog that is hungered to bone and abused, defends its owner for they are being given crumbs for the loyalty they gave and barks angry to the healthy dog that's being treated much better.
