    Years later and I still love your review! PS I think I passed you in Southgate on my CBR250R my bike is easy to see since its full black and glows blue

    Grerat review! Really insightful. I'm hoping to go for one of these as my first big bike (3 yrs on 125s). I'm about 6'1 but not super flexible, you think I'll be ok in terms of comfort?

      I'm just under 6 foot and I find the ergonomics great. I never get sore wrists or butt. It's got good power but not so much that you would feel intimidated.

    Hello ! Great video!!!One question ,how does the bike behave at low revs ?Does it have power or do you need to be in the higher rev range?

    • @carsofjoburg9335
      @carsofjoburg9335  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey man, at low revs it's very calm and controllable, you can ride it as slowly as 14km/h without and stuttering or jerking. There's power down low, but like any inline 4 600cc bike, you have to rev it to really get to the power. I find that it has power over 5500rpm and it hits the rev band just under 9000. With a red line of about 13,000, it gives you plenty of room to play with.

    Hi I want to buy one of these as my upgrade from a Kawasaki Z300. I just saw one online with 8100km on it for a good price. Do you think It's a good idea? Thanks in advance.

      Did you buy it?

    • @tshupetsomonedi
      @tshupetsomonedi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ivia7vgo Yes I did. Been a good year and a half now. Two lowdown falls later and it's still alive. It's not quick off the line as other 600's because it basically has a detuned CBR 600 RR engine so the acceleration and top speed are lower. It's a very good bike for long distance rides because it has a slightly upright riding position.

      @tshupetsomonedi 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bonskywalker4990 I just did some dumb stuff and paid with my ass on the asphalt. It's a great bike honestly. If you aren't a speed/acceleration freak then it's more than enough to be honest. Great for touring too. I've done 1000km in 12 hours and my back wasn't so bad because of it's more upright position. Safe riding.👍🏿👍🏿

      @@ElCoco1984 Maybe you're talking about the older model CBR 600F this one is heavier and sluggish off the line. I know I've ridden it for over two years now.

    A work collage has a blue one and thank goodness you did the tail tidy cos its pretty ugly
    Honda is very reliable but so is Yamaha and Suzuki. I never had any issues with my suzukis and had the one for seven years
    50 000km on a modern bike is not that much even if its ridden hard as long as services are done

      Ya, that stock fender with huge indicators was not pretty, glad I managed to find a cheap eliminator and got free indicators. I want to do levers but I can't find secondhand for my bike, and new I'm looking at about R1500-R1800.
      I see your point about reliability, I've only ever owned Hondas and that's why I commented on their reliability, because I'm familiar with them.

      Well on principle I won't let someone ride my bike unless I've known them for a while. But I'd be up to meeting up and letting you see/feel/hear the thing.

    Looks like a horrible place to live.
    No sidewalks. Everything's gated and surrounded by tall walls.

      It's different, but not horrible. It's something you get used to while living here.
