Although most of them are very venomous, sea snakes rarely ever attack humans. In most close encounters sea snakes act much friendlier than their land counterparts.
When I was in 5th grade they were rolling out this new writing program and testing it on my class. It was suppose to help and teach you how to write reports on something you read. The topic we all read sea snakes, I'm extremely afraid of snakes and these things have haunted my dreams since.
If that's true, then that's a bad sign. The presence of such species are the signs of warming patterns of the ocean. Not particularly healthy for marine ecosystems.
There was an episode of SpongeBob I watched and there was a snake in that episode and I thought “Are sea snakes actually real?” and they actually are indeed real
@@sleeepybae1459 sorry for not replying, I forgot I ever left this comment but yes, I will be careful when I do see the sea snakes. So far I’ve only been with sharks.

No sea snakes have developed with one large lung which enables them to stay underwater so long also they can absorb 33 percent of their oxygen through their skin so they can remain underwater for 7 hours before they have to surface to breathe.
Yes. All but one type of sea snake is venomous, that one doesn't have to be, because it specializes in egg eating, it's food isn't going anywhere. The others need their food to die right away or they risk losing the meal.
They sleep out off the water i saw a big female wondering around at night to find place to rest in the rock and saw another one while swimming in the morning i look on my back and see the mf exploring things like they are very very curios beings wondering around the sea😂

Not even close. It's only potent enough to kill it's prey, it can and does kill people but a GW is much larger than we are. The reason they are venomous at all and why they have fast acting venom is because they need their food to die right away, rather than swimming off and dying beyond their reach.
I never knew a Sea Krait was a type of sea snake. I always thought it was something you kept to yourself, and never told anyone?
A sea krait, a secret you tell underwater.
Oh ha ha
Took me a second to get it
Sea Krait, because once you get close enough to hear it’s secret, you’ll never be able to share any more secrets.

That last fact was amazing actually.
Who gave them permission to swim….
Just encountered a sea krait whilst snorkelling off Iriomote today... it scared the living daylights out of us, whilst watching turtles feeding! OMG!
I never thought about it but yea fresh water would collect on top on the ocean. That’s some g shit.
Thank you for this well put together video
They look amazing!
Don't they?
Interesting, thanks for the info 😊
I spent this whole morning studying snakes. Australian venomous snakes. Sea snakes. I took breaks from my study to pet my dog.
These are actually the most scary animal for me 😭

You think you are safe from snakes in the sea, but no, they can follow you even there.
Just be thankful there are no wind snakes yet.

As far as snakes 🐍 sea snakes are truly underrated I rarely here of them
omg bloody brilliant!!!!
I still don't know where true sea snakes hang out when they are tired of swimming but still need to breathe.
They don't need to. They just go to the surface to breath and probably rest on the sea floor. They cannot go on land like Sea Kraits.
Saw this one while swimming in bantayan earlier, me and the snake were staring at eachother
A few sea snakes have washed ashore in Southern California.
