We have one WPS in our organization for API 5L Grade X52 material. Now If we want to weld API 5L Grade X60 material do we have to requalify the WPS for changing of Material ???
If u are changing the essential variables then u must have to requalify the wps.

I have seen your complete video. I have learnt a lot, but I have few questions here. Hope you will answer them. My first question is you said that Group number is sub grouping of P Numbers and If material is required impact test having both the numbers. Now If I see material 5L Grade X60 whose P Number is 1 and Group Number is 2. Here what is the meaning of Group number 2 ????

What’s the real goal of going through all this hassle and making this tables and group?
Pls explain precisely why is this grouping needed ? Why is it important in industry?
