I still disagree with you on the Holiday special, but you've made a lot of really good arguments for it as a spinoff. I get the feeling people would be a lot less harsh on these if the animation looked nicer, and you made a good point on how recognizing the strengths of both specials means having to sit through 20ish minutes of a visual disaster. You're always very confident in your opinions on these, even if they aren't widely held. If anyone deserves to be remembered as the "Black Bad Guys critic" it's you.
I loved the books (cough my profile picture). I loved the movie. I actually did like the Christmas special. Loved Maraschino Ruby. Love the characters… I think this was… okay. I think they were more chaotic here because that’s how they were in the books but it feels more natural there than in here imo. Reginald E Scary was def a weird character for me because he was never in the books and I do think his character had potential but it felt a bit wasted for me. Great video, I love seeing people share my same brainrots :)
And yet it wasn't the only thing related to a great movie about at least one bad guy with a character played by Zazie Beetz that came out this week and disappointed many people. At least I got two nickels from it.
Honestly, I liked both… they were fun, well written (trust me I have seen worse) “Thomas Astruc,” and nicely animated imao. Nonetheless, nothing beats the movie for me.
Maybe it’s for the best it sucked. The only way I could think to fix it was making the mansion inhabitant a serial cannibal to teach kids the difference between being a bad guy and being a monster. 🥩
9:01 Guilty!
It seems not even Shark could save this movie 😔
It's not a movie.
@@fantasticfreddie5 It kinda is though

Megamind 2 all over again.
Well this wasn’t technically a sequel
@@rofuturemanain't this a prequel
No, not even close.

I had no idea there was more than just the one movie

The real sequel is coming next year, and Sony Image works better do it's homework right
Reginald looks like Buzz Buzzard from Woody Woodpecker

I liked this one more honestly, but that ain't saying much.
This just felt... uneventful. Barely anything happened, the villain's name was dumb, and the double twist was frankly unnecessary.
