    You could take any of these cartridges and shoot competitions with them. Good cartridges for all, not just club shooters

    Blue Diamond has Diamond shot, gordon recoil system and more velocity than the Evo's, Blue Diamond are 100% a better cartridge!

    Hull Supafasts 27gms £180-iish some good breaks at long ranges with little choke . .Hulls are top notch, can be expensive for top of the range types but you only get what you pay for (Quality)

    Wont pay any more than £180 a thousand, £220 is not a budget cartridge

    Another couple of cartridges I find quite good are the Lyalvale Express Power Red's and Blue's. Normally I cannot stand LE ammo but these have worked very well for me at the clay ground.

    • @TSCTheshootingchannel
      @TSCTheshootingchannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We find those good too, similar to the Rio's but a little more expensive.

    • @Willenium2k4
      @Willenium2k4 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TSC - The Shooting Channel How do the Rio's compare to the old Imperial's? I bought a slab of Maxam Imperial's to share with a friend and we could not get on with them. Found them quite harsh to shoot and the weights were inconsistent. Whether that affected performance I don't know.

      Willenium2k4 I use the power gold and they are excellent

      @Willenium2k4 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Big Nut Hunting Yes I tried them the last time I went to the local ground and they were pretty good. For the cost of the Gold's though, I think I will stick with the Red's. I can't remember the exact figure but it was just over £8 per box which is too much for me.

    I wonder how our cheap American brands such as Winchester Universal and Federal Game and Target compare?

    • @jimsutton8244
      @jimsutton8244 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think those American brands would be what the speaker says “thumps” the shoulder. Their 24 gram is US 7/8 oz. The 28 gram is only 1oz. I usually shoot 1-1/8 oz or their 32 gram. The speaker does not discuss shell speed or powder load. I stay with 3 dram powder for 1200 FPS. I think Win Universal is about $0.22 per shell. The speaker quotes about $0.30 a shell.

      2.99 a bx..USA..dollars

    • @clintwalker5804

      Funny, can get Remington and Winchester now about $6 a box. If you can find a flat at a tym ,Nitro27 $7.25 a box. Local gun club EVO $7.08 a box. Seem to be a cleaner shell, and in stock at volume. As the shelves at Walmart seem it empty rather fast durning the Covid days. And I sport the club-not the box store. But I do miss the days when it was $2.50 box.

    Can’t believe you think Olympic blues are smooth.. shot fiocchi tt’s for a few weeks and then got a slab of Olympic blues and they thumped the shoulder off me..really noticeably more thumpy and to prove I wasn’t losing my mind I had a couple of friends test the two and everyone thought the same.

    Can you give me the technical specifications of the Rio shells please ? Speed , Oz , Dram and shot .
    I’m really interested in this ones but I think are different in the US .
    Thanks for your video , is really educational.

    Is 12 bore/gauge the most popular? Or do you just shoot what you're most comfortable with? I've always used 12, just curious what seem to be the most popular for clay. I'm also thinking of another shotgun for clays. Just not sure what bore/gauge.

    • @TSCTheshootingchannel
      @TSCTheshootingchannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @TSCTheshootingchannel
      @TSCTheshootingchannel  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      For an older side-by-side we would recommend the Stealth, for a newer side-by-side possibly the Gamebore Evo's in 24g.

    • @jonbuh1440
      @jonbuh1440 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can depend on your personal preference and your gun! Usually I've found between 7.5 and 8.5 for trap is good, with some really nice breaks! Of course, that's just my own experience and opinion!

    Fiocchi TT?!! You really are having a laugh now surely... Uttter, utter crap. Even my local gunshop that sold them to me were "yeah, sorry about that" when I took them back and I've NEVER been compelled to return a cartridge in my life.
