Hardknott Pass ebike challenge

I blame Dave, it was his idea! Why don't I try taking a cheap ebike designed for town use and see how it (I) coped going up Hardknott Pass.
Hardknott Pass, known as the “King of Climbs” and possibly the hardest climb in England, is notorious for its sharp hairpin bends and demanding gradients (30% +). A test that would push your muscles to their limits even on a suitable bike. The rhythmic mechanical clanking of failing bike parts and the occasional hum of electrical distress create a soundtrack that accompanies the ascent.

You can tell Heather got her fancy camera out for this one. Not sure if she will again after you almost ran her down! Haha

I've found there's more I can do with my phone camera now. It doesn't come anywhere close to Heather's fancy pants camera, but gives me some more scope for experimenting. It makes editing much harder though!

A mid drive ebike would have worked a lot better

Undoubtedly, also any appropriate 'acoustic' bike would have worked a lot better. I've done the route many times and this was by far the hardest. My next attempt may well be on a cargo bike, that might make for interesting viewing!
