This worked perfectly for me in Java 1.20.2! Dont build it too close to a village, and if theres already iron golems nearby that arent spawned in the farm, kill them off to reset where they are spawning. works great standing next to the chest and could see golems buring from my house 200~ blocks away.
It works but sometimes doesn't... I don't realize get it. I built one near me and it works great, tons of iron. But then I went to where I friend was and helped him build one and its not working at all. I don't really understand it. It's the exact same apart from the blocks used. Idk if I'm too close to the village or what but the other one is pretty close to the village and it's working.
The farm can be semi close to the village but make sure the structure part of the farm is all inside one chunk. I’ve built lots of iron farms and the thing that always messes them up is the farm being split between different chunks.
The most efficient type of farm when in on low items to work with. Looked a lot more complicated before finding this tutorial. The outcome didn't lie - 330 iron per hour! I'm definitely sharing this with a friend.
Thank you so much I build it in my hardcore world start in 1.20.2 and I afk an 30 minutes and I got 3 stacks not exactly 30 minutes but something like that thank you very much for the farm
Works great! I was confused if it required walking away a certain distance before the golems spawned but then as soon as I brought the zombie over it started working right in front of me.
Yeah since the villagers and zombies are immobile and walled off I don’t think it matters the distance as long as you’re within range for them to spawn
Very good farm for early/mid game, especially if built within the spawn chunks. Can confirm it works in 1.20.4, however make sure at least one villager has been traded with. (Did not consistently work previously before I traded with one). Also make sure you don't forget the very last part about filling in the blocks you lured the zombie through, since baby zombies can get over the trapdoors and convert all your villagers into zombies.

This farm worked great for me! If you build it in a village, make sure to get rid of any path blocks near the farm, and also fill in any holes beneath the farm... works great!
Built 3 next to each other, upgraded the storage system to 2 double chests (technically plus 8 slots from both hoppers) and afk’d for a night. Ended up with nearly 3 double chests of iron ingots. Based on how easy these are to build, it’s probably the best design unless you need millions of ingots in a quick time span

Hi @moretingz, i'm coming back to your channel to build an iron farm. I have previously built one of your design from about a year ago. I was wondering if that design still works or if this new design is the only one that works. Thanks man!

so im on a realm too. Ive noticed that it really does not like to work on realms, but this is my fix: destroy the slabs above the beds so they can sleep at least one night.
Excellent design! I particularly like the villager and bed layout, and I'm getting excellent production day and night. I currently play on a 1.20.2 paper SMP server, which may or may not be relevant to a trivial modification I needed: I had to raise the outer wall surrounding the collection and kill area by one block. Otherwise golems would sometimes escape the collection area. EDIT: I built this about 75 blocks away from a villager breeder building.
Works great so far. I built it right next to a village, I was afraid it wouldnt work but it does. Will more golems spawn if it isnt so close to a village? Only one spawns for me atm
Okay I've had problems with this farm where the villagers stopped sleeping since the zombie is always in sight. WORKS like a charm on Minecraft Java 1.20.4. Tested for 3 minutes; resulted in 20 iron ingots. This should yield _around_ 200 ingots in half an hour or 400 ingots per hour. Known issue: Golems keep spawning outside the dirt path area. Solution: place blocks (e.g. leaves or glasses so mobs won't spawn) around the dirt path to "close" the area. This will force the game to spawn Golems on top of the building. Much easier requirements; I don't have to go up sky-high or create so many rails like in most iron farm videos.
