For anyone who is having a problem with spiders being stuck in the killing chamber, just put buttons on every wall in the killing chamber and they wont be able to climb up them, and they will die like other mobs
If you're experiencing extra currents in the middle of flowing water in your mob farm, check the placement of your water source blocks and adjust them to ensure a smooth and even flow. Probably it will fix ur problem
For people that want to get xp from the farm its all the same but you have to replace the stairs with glass and replace the campfires with slabs and when ur done killing the mobs got to the side to collect the xp.
can we just put the trapdoors on the campfire? soul campfire dont burn wood and i can close the campfire when i need xp and open when i dont need it? i havent test it yet tho
is there a way to make it so that you can do this but dont have to go all the way back up to spawn more at a fast rate? i tried this but it gets really annoying having to go back up and down for good spawns
FOR BEDROCK PLAYERS!!!!! Make it to where the dispenser is facing DOWNWARDS at the platform. So, instead of the center of each platform being the dispenser, just make it another cobblestone slab. Then have 1 air block above it, a dispenser facing down, and an observer facing down (red dot facing down, the little face looks up). That way, the observer detects the water from the layer above, powering the dispenser below it. For the redstone at the top, instead of having a solid block above a dispenser, it'll just be that last dispenser above an observer facing downwards.
@@DrLeshy u would have to make it really high because if you just sit and the bottom of this farm and make the platform a little higher the caves below will be loaded and mobs will spawn there instead of your farm

Fantastic farm! Huge efficiency, filled up like 3 double chests in an hour, it's insane. I play on an aternos 1.21.4 spigot server and it works perfectly. Only minor issue is for some reason it produces little to no spider eyes, however it does produce a lot of string (which means it does produce spiders). I even managed to get a few raw chickens from it lol (from chicken jockeys).
Spider Eyes are only dropped when the player kills spiders. The few Spider eyes you do get are from witches. Alas there is no auto killing mechanism in Java like there is on Bedrock
Amazing farm, works immediately with very little troubleshooting for select mobs. I ended up making the spawning platforms out of full blocks instead of slabs so I can easily convert as many as I want to creeper only platforms using slabs without an ugly gap.

My dispensers are not retracting the water back as I am building. The water stays persistently out on the platform as I keep creating new platforms above them. I will continue to do this anyway for now and will edit this comment as I go. Edit: Okay, so I had to load the water differently. Seems to be effective. Edit 2: Well........ I have been afk for about an hour now and I have barely had any items in the chests... I realized that, in your video, it's unclear whether or not you leave the repeater clock on or off. I intuitively understood that you leave it on. However, I am just not getting drops. Edit 3: I found what's going wrong! Water is continuously falling down from platforms which is preventing mobs from either falling to the bottom water platform, or mobs from being pushed to the death tube. Edit 4: Apparently, I made a two-slab mistake on one of the upper platforms that allowed for water to fall off of the platform which messed with all of the water below as well, creating water source blocks on top of the death tube... I had to fix that. Now, it works as designed. I can't believe that was what messed up the entire farm... TWO SLABS. But yay!! Fixed, and working.

I have some prior commitments so I probably won't upload for a few days but I will start building this farm and upload hopefully within 2023.
For BEDROCK PLAYERS: If you’re following the advice other BC players are giving you by saying to face the dispensers down and observers flush with the floor and notice it turns on and off, you need to place a top slab between your observer and dispenser IN ADDITION TO all of the other advice given. It will solve this problem which happens because the water receding updates the observer which triggers the ones below it. The slab water logs the water source so it doesn’t flow back.
Since nobody answers, i find a solution. So at the drop down thingy you need to expand it from 3x3 to 5x5 so that the spiders wont stuck up there and wont hold up the creepers, also make the hoppers and fireplaces from 3x3 to 5x5. It works for me perfectly! I hope it helps!
@@thunderlirleee hi guys for me i didn't actually have to change it to 5x5. i made a mistake w the water placement and fixing the water fixed it. i had placed it wrong so just follow the tutorial close.
witches do this since 1.10 "Witches now drink a potion of fire resistance if they don't already have the Fire Resistance effect and the most recent damage taken (within the past 2 seconds) was fire damage." from the minecraft wiki
FOR BEDROCK this build will work but each dispenser is pointed to the floor below meaning the first floor is just a platform. Observers point facing up to the next floor and each platform needs to be expanded out by one block.
Also 2x9 water areas at the bottom will work but only if the water flow isn't disrupted. If it does simply replace those with regular blocks then remove and reset the water.
for anyone having issues with the dispenser shooting out the water instead of dispensing it, make sure the dispensers arrows are ALL facing downward, when i built the farm i just built them on top to do it faster and thats when my dispenser was shooting out the water bucket

for bedrock players this wont work properly, instead of the dispen facing up out of the platform make it face down onto a platform, and as for the redstone at the top use a redstone lantern or another dispen, just sure to make it empty. basically just turn it the other way
My dispenser is dropping the water bucket and i have checked many times and it is a dispenser. It works perfectly fine when only a lever switches it but Moët with the repeaters
its possible you built the farm too high up to where mobs don't spawn, or you are getting spawnage in the areas below and around you which take from the farm, I personally would put it at height of Y=145 (where the chests are) and build up from there.
I've been using this farm for about 2 years in my realm and efficiency went quite down within the last week or month, I realized when I went to gather some gunpowder. I have an iron farm and a gold farm working one next to the other and I didn't have any problems until now. Any suggestions?

The only slabs that should be bottom slabs are the roof ones. The rest of them should be on the top of the block or else they won’t spawn. I’m pretty sure they can all be replaced with full blocks except the ones around the edges and roof. If that’s the issue you can go add a extra slab on everything. Better than destroying and rebuilding
witches heal themselves and also they dont take fire damage. when they fall the dont instantly die from fall damage so they are pretty much suck there forever

I placed the observers with their eyes facing upwards and the dispensers also facing upwards. I set up the redstone on the roof as you showed. The water is placed and removed within certain seconds, but the time without water is too short for mobs to spawn, so they don't appear. Did I do something wrong?
I just built this in bedrock, and mobs arent even spawning, the dispenser and water problem aside, as I used the comments work around. Any ideas why mobs arent even spawning? I built the farm up in the air and above a ocean. any help would be greatly appreciated.

mobs do not spawn when you are as high as that afk area is it seems. afk'd for 8 hours and got nothing on 1.21
would you ever make a shulker farm? (:
Works absolutly fine thanks mate! 🎉
Hello @moretingz, the mob's dosn't spawn, i'm java 1.21
It still works in java 1.21 im using it right now
for bedrock players this wont work properly, instead of the dispen facing up out of the platform make it face down onto a platform, and as for the redstone at the top use a redstone lantern or another dispen, just sure to make it empty. basically just turn it the other way
it didnt work, can you tellme how it done?
Why doesn’t the water work
Bro yea
Same here 🤔
it’s because ur on bedrock
im on java i did everything the dispenser wont work
@@Lg_trixs same
My dispenser is dropping the water bucket and i have checked many times and it is a dispenser. It works perfectly fine when only a lever switches it but Moët with the repeaters
Mine doesn't work can you please tell how you did it
@@adammalki u dont need to have the water bucket in the dispenser, the observer will trigger without the water bucket.
Você é muito necessário, obrigado pelo conhecimento.
I recommend building a house at the bottom so you have easy access. (I need gunpowder for timeless and classics mod)
Guys almost no mob spawns inside the farm. What did I do wrong? Am I being afk at the wrong hight by any chance?
its possible you built the farm too high up to where mobs don't spawn, or you are getting spawnage in the areas below and around you which take from the farm, I personally would put it at height of Y=145 (where the chests are) and build up from there.
I've been using this farm for about 2 years in my realm and efficiency went quite down within the last week or month, I realized when I went to gather some gunpowder. I have an iron farm and a gold farm working one next to the other and I didn't have any problems until now. Any suggestions?
Your gold farm is making zombified piglins take up the mob cap only run one at a time
same here !
This guy doesnt respond to a single comment, answer a single question, or even pin a single comment to answer the hordes of people having trouble.
All he does is like the comments that praise him lmfao.
well, it's a simple farm? the questions people are asking should take 2 seconds of thought to think of a solution
@@derpzerphz2306 Definitely not true for anyone that hasnt followed this game consistently for years.
what problem are you having then
Java 1.20 built over water: in 30 minutes had about 6 stacks of gunpowder, thanks for the awesome afk farm!!!
idk if i did it wrong but my water comes out so fast barely any mobs spawn before they get swept off
@@TheChadDad2169 did you tick every repeater to 3? With mine the water isn’t coming out too fast
@@jonathan45732 yea I even double checked. Every one at 3 ticks
@@TheChadDad2169 bedrock or Java?
@@jonathan45732 Java. I ended up just adding a few more repeaters so there would be more time for mob spawns. It works but not nearly as well as the video and comments are saying.
Does it work on bedrock
No
im having an issue where when i place water on the edges, the entire surface becomes all source blocks
thats because you misplaced some water in the “lower” corner. just put water on each side, and then on the upper corner as shown in the video. hope it makes sense :)
guys the mobs don't spawn :/. can somebody help me?
The only slabs that should be bottom slabs are the roof ones. The rest of them should be on the top of the block or else they won’t spawn. I’m pretty sure they can all be replaced with full blocks except the ones around the edges and roof. If that’s the issue you can go add a extra slab on everything. Better than destroying and rebuilding
Or maybe your render distance and simulation distance are low, set them higher so that the mobs are spawning on the farm
@@DyniX_M I made that mistake. It defaults it to a minimum distance although the game will lag a lot if you have it at max and have a lot going on.
Could I remove the Campfires at the bottom so it could double as an XP farm as well?
If you place a water block on them they will go out and you can xp farm. Just light them back when you want to item farm
witches heal themselves and also they dont take fire damage. when they fall the dont instantly die from fall damage so they are pretty much suck there forever
that's why you use soul campfires
I built this in 1.20.4 works good, is there a certain distance I need to be away for this farm to be efficient? I’m just standing near the chests and it works fine, I can’t built the afk platform portion since I built it near the world limit. Either way good farm
made this farm! thank you for the tutorial, i made an iron golem farm and this farm. any recommendations for what i should make next?
unaliving yourself
enderman xp grinder
Will making 3 more modules right next to it with one huge roof and one dropping hole improve the efficiency? That means 40 platforms
Dude this farm absolutely shits out items you can get everything youll ever need in like 3 hours of afk. No need to make it even more efficient imo.
I'm in the middle of building this. Will it work if some dispensers dispensed water as i was building and some didn't? Do I have to fix something?
i have the same problem
the best tutorial i ever see
Thanks!
great tutorial thank you so much :D
i have a problem with the dispenser on top it drops the whaterbucket when it shud place whater
It's not a dispenser then, it's a dropper
@@fishfinger0052 It's a dispenser for me (it says so when i right click it) and it does the same thing, drops the bucket of water.
@@simplyvibinn5417 no idea then
@@fishfinger0052 gosh HECKING DARN IT
hi, what if i make the top part a striaght square instead of the diagonal square iykwim, it did take more slabs but will it works as efficient?
no it wont work as well.
I placed the observers with their eyes facing upwards and the dispensers also facing upwards. I set up the redstone on the roof as you showed. The water is placed and removed within certain seconds, but the time without water is too short for mobs to spawn, so they don't appear. Did I do something wrong?
me too
The water does not have any current meaning that it does not go to the direction of the hole. This does not work for me and I am in Java 1.21.1
This is very well edited, the mistake there shows humanity and lets us see how it can go wrong
I just built this in bedrock, and mobs arent even spawning, the dispenser and water problem aside, as I used the comments work around. Any ideas why mobs arent even spawning? I built the farm up in the air and above a ocean. any help would be greatly appreciated.
did it work? I'm having the same problem as both of you. they spawn but like very rarely.
Is the roof on this just for light I plan on building it in a tower so it’ll be dark anyway and it’d be nice to not have to make the tower so wide
Yeah I think so.
The dispense just throws the water bucket back out instead of actually dispensing the water. Anyone know why
?
make sure theres not a block blocking it
Make sure you are actually using dispensers and not droppers
Could I use string instead for the top platform and use glass blocks for the repeaters to go on?
thank u so much, i have a question
it's mandatory to be on the upside platform for the farm to work?
Or can i be doing some other stuff while the farm is just existing and will still be working?
rates will be highest up there because all platforms will be in your spawning radius but theoretically anywhere near should give some mob spawns
Made this farm in 1.20.1 works very well 🙂
The Legend is Back 🔥
Just so people know if you look in the description it shows that it might not work for bedrock so try making your own changes to the water system
Sadly this does not seem to work in bedrock since the observer does not send the signal down to the dispenser under it due to the gap….is there a fix?
Bedrock and Java both use their own game and spawn mechanics, this won’t work on bedrock edition
@@jihadijohn2561no shit fuck tard he asked for a fix not more of what he already knows
Here's an idea, find a tutorial for bedrock edition. I used to play bedrock and never had this issue, guess what? I search for ones specifically made for bedrock. SilentWhispeper is the best farms / mechanics TH-camr for bedrock, I would refer to him for any bedrock tutorial
@@JanitorMortis well I searched for that on TH-cam (in the search bar) and this came up. I’ll check the other guy out, thanks
@@mavonix5096 cool, hope you enjoy SilentWhispeper as much as I did when I still played on mobile. Definitely recommend
