You weren't lying about that click pin and spring flying out. I took my handle off nice and easy and it flew and I didn't even know it. I realized it after I put my handle back on and my drag clicker wasn't clicking. I somehow found my pin but not the spring. Ordered a new spring today. Thank you for the tear down video.

Richie - These take apart and maintenance videos are awesome. No lie. Even when I'm not fishing, I can stay engaged with it by maintaining and modifying my gear. I also just ordered a drag clicker for my SLX DC. I can't wait to try to install it. Thanks for making these videos. Keep it up.

I have a shimano casitas since 2017 and looking at your video I can see that the two are almost the same inside. It seems that shimano only changed the structure on the outside on the slx but it remains the same as the casitas on the inside, with the exception of the spool because it is mgl of course.

Could you please tell main gear internal diameter? Trying to buy drag clicker from Aliexpress but do not know the size (my reel itself still in delivery) Thank you!
Ahhhh I’m sorry man I have no idea, I’d have to take the whole reel apart again to find out! 😃🤷🏻♂️😂 Might have to wait until you take yours apart to measure or maybe you can even find that in a forum or something. Whatever kit you buy should tell you the reels it’s compatible with too I would think? 🤔 Haha I get super excited like that too when I have something new coming and want everything for it to be here when it arrives so I know the feeling! 👊🏽😁

@@Tim_FPV Hmm. 🤔 Well I guess all you can really do is just make sure all the bearings are smooth, make sure everything is in the right place, make sure every part is clean and doesn’t have any sand or dirt in it, check the main and pinion gears for any damage and that they are lining up properly. Give everything the oil and grease that it needs as shown here and see if the grinding goes away. That’s what I’d be doing 🤷🏻♂️ Sometimes it’s a really specific thing where I’ll know exactly what’s wrong right away, but a lot of times with these reels you just have to check off things one by one to figure out exactly where the problem is.

Sorry I didn’t understand what you meant by fit, I guess you mean like can you fish it in saltwater? I’m sure you could 🤷🏻♂️ small spool though best for short pitches and flips mostly used on freshwater bass fishing, also I don’t think it has a seal to keep the salt water out of the reel like say a Tranx does.
