Spaceycat331 AJ in the "my drunken stories" video (recently taken down) he says "my friend john smashed a 40L on the ground" the friend in this video is the same john
My grandfather told me when he was the manager at Burger King when he was younger he had to work on 4th of July, he played Christmas music the whole day and NOBODY noticed until around 5 hours later
One time at work, someone accidentally hit repeat on the song instead of the whole cd and "Footloose" played over and over for 2-3 hours straight. Yeah...
@@Atamastra For me, the best part is "It's Not Unusual" went hand in hand with the staff doing nothing about it, because this made it seem like all this was normal to them.
There's this bowling alley in one of the bigger towns near me, and every time I go there, I play The Seer by The Swans. It's 32 minutes long, and watching everyone's faces go from excited delight of knocking down pins while listening to Party in the USA to horrified panic as The Seer comes on. For over half an hour.
I read a story about a guy who did this in a nightclub. But instead of twenty seven reruns of the same song, it was two runs of a single, TWENTY SEVEN MINUTE atonal song called "The Seer."
I JUST DID THIS! My son (who knows and loves this bit) went to his prom, and then told us they were going to Buffalo Wild Wings. We were out and about, near BWW with his girlfriend's parents. so.we went to BWW first. And we waited. We were in the bar area where they couldn't go. Once they came in, I went over to juke box (was out of their view), and put in FIVE What's New Pussycat (WNP), one It's Not Unusual (INU). And one more WNP. The first WNP started a song or two later. EVERYTHING JOHN SAID IS TRUE! When the third WNP started, there were these two guys at the bar and heard them groan. Same with the fourth and fifth. Nothing when INU started, but when the WNP after INU started, the guy literally slapped hard at the bat and I heard him say "Are you f'ing KIDDING ME???" So after all that was done, we grabbed my son's waitress and paid their bill and told her to tell them someone in the bar did so. Them he came over, saw it was us and he was just dying,.red faced, "NOW IT ALL MAKES SENSE!!!" It was awesome.
Here's what you do once you find the jukebox set up a hidden camera then leave just to see what happens while you were away. That you don't get banned from the diner.
+DeathByCake118 Was that code that was meant to say: "Judgement Boy sent me here because of his Undertale animations."? If so, I can relate. Judgement Boy sent me here too.
I've been doing this exact thing at the local bar I work at. I work the door and while it's slow, I can play What's New Pussycat for every other song on the jukebox through an app on my phone. Nobody can tell who's playing it and everyone starts cursing the bartenders for doing it all while I'm outside with tears streaming down my face.
We were talking about song lengths in math class today and my teacher mentions November Rain and my first reaction is to go "BWAHM BWAHM WHAT'S NEW PUSSYAT" and the kid in front of me stared right at me as I silently laughed my ass off.
I did this "salt and pepper" experiment in this diner that had a jukebox. Nobody noticed until the 5th replay when someone ratted me out seeing me at the jukebox.
Okay, this is the last time google. gotta do this at a crowded bar or restaurant where no one notices. Have 2 or 3 friends help you, but you can't be together afterwards, go mingle about until it's all over. Then run. lol
Every now and then I feel awfully down so I come here to watch this to remind myself that everyone suffers, but no one suffers as much as the poor people that day in the Salt & Pepper diner.
the apartment I grew up in was 30 sec away from the Salt n Pepper diner, I loved that place! my dad even remembers where the Jukebox was. I'm really glad John M has immortalized the place ha ha
I have listened to this about fifteen times and it never wears thin. This is as good as Woody Allen's "The Moose" bit. I will even go out on a limb and say that he heard the Moose bit. Doesn't matter. This bit is perfectly crafted and is, without question, one of my favorite comedy bits of all time. It's a classic. So damn funny.
I think the very first time I heard this -Through iTunes radio- I was literally rolling around in the floor. I'm just lucky my family was all downstairs. I could not breathe I was scared I would die right then and there.
After seeing this, my best friend did this to me, and this accurately describes what it's like to have this song played on loop. He then told me to watch this, and then I did. And I'm fucking dead now. I died laughing
I loved this! I wonder why 297 people said they did not like this? Have they not yet got their 30 day chip for anger manegment? What kind of person would not get a kick out of this?
+Richard Graham Right, how could anybody possibly think differently from you? It's really not all that good; in fact (and this is me personally) it failed to yield a single laugh.
i remember watching this comedy show on tv years ago (i think it came out late 2000s?) and jesus christ, this story never gets old. every fucking time i hear it, i die laughing. it's one of my favourite stories, it's just so perfect. it is always, always funny!

I was sitting in my kitchen, reading the newspaper, when 'What's New Pussycat?' came on and I started DYING because I thought of this piece. Had to listen to it again
Once in spring on the lake my roommate and I were having a rough time relationship wise and we put on "Mirrors" by Justin Timberlake on loop for at least an hour... let me tell you, that song has some sort of magical properties. Instead of getting annoying it just kind of becomes the comfortable background of your life. So weird without it afterwards.
This has been for a while and will likely stay my top favorite comedy bit. Every time I've had a bad day I just pull this up and it never fails to make me smile.
Holy crap I grew up going to that diner till it closed down a few years ago! That place, omg, it had great food and it was always a classic place to go to after Sunday church or some random weekend or holiday morning. Salt n' Pepper was a legit diner too, with the jukebox in the corner, his story is so legit too, lmao!!

Terrible news. The Salt and Pepper Diner was recently forced to close because of some redevelopment bullshit. A moment of silence, please.

twins1729 I'd actually be okay with that, though I'd slowly lose my sanity by the end of it.

Yeah most of the time, but you gotta admit Mitch Hedberg was a damn genius.

This is the BEST example of a solid "story joke" that you're likely to find anywhere.

I should do this somewhere where there is a jukebox, but pay for seven plays of Mambo #5 followed by one Cha-Cha Slide...then back to Mambo #5....
