We had been delayed initially for about 40min, in my opinion due to pure complacency. The cleaning team consisting of 3 non-enthusiastic kids boarded the plane 20min prior to take-off dragging henry Hoovers like dead dogs. There is no excuse really as the plane had been sat on the tarmac for over 6 hours.
To add insult to injury once boarded we are then delayed another hour, you’ll never guess why! On of the stewardesses bags had been lost in the airport, I don’t see how this is any of my concern, less the additional few hundred people on board. So the captain took her shopping at the duty free! To get clothes because she had a two day layover.
I’m sure the Dominican republic has a clothing store, ‘‘I mean for f**k-sake’’ I doubt if a passengers bag got lost they would care, just say tough shit and close the doors, f**k you on your two week vacation, there’s a £20 voucher.
I really did not see the need to delay customers that have shelled out thousands for the airlines fuckup. Anyway I missed the first announcement, but I caught the second on tape.
So overall out TUI flight from Manchester Airport to Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) took off over two hours late, brilliant!
