Thank you mate! Yeah it’s funny, some days we’ve done really, really well off the same snag, and other days we’ve had to move around to find where the fish are holding, or only get a couple off each snag. I guess like all fish, they can be very switched on and aggressive some days, but a bit shy other days. Tight lines mate 😁🎣
Thanks for the comment mate! Yeah they definitely still get right up that far, I’m sure this summer they’ll be up there again once the water warms up! 😅 Would have been good fun to catch a few mate!
Thanks for the comment mate!! We’ve been launching at kookaburra park just because it’s closest to where we live, but as you’ll see from some upcoming videos we move around. We fish upstream, downstream, even up the Bremer at times, and just try to find where the fish are at. They move up and down stream at different times of the year. We’re always on the lookout for new snags and rock bars too! One snag might only land you a couple of fish, another snag might have no fish on it at all, and the next one could have a massive school of bass. Then another day it could be different and they could have moved on. Hope this helps mate 👍🎣
@@willkitchingThanks Will. I checked out that ramp recently at low tide but I think I would have trouble launching and retrieving my 4.8m runabout if the water was down. I went over and looked at the Karalee ramp but a chap fishing there said it really drops away at the end of the concrete and would be easy to get the trailer wheels stuck there with the boat loaded and trying to drive back up the ramp. I might have to try the Fig Tree Pocket ramp or go over to Jindalee if I want to fish up river.
Thanks heaps Flippa!! I appreciate it mate 🙌 For my braid to leader knot I’m just using a double uni knot, and to attach my lures I’m using a loop knot to let them swim nice and freely. Practice it a couple of times at home, it’s very simple. Try to make the loop nice and small. If I’m just tying on a hook or swivel when bait fishing, I use a locked blood knot. 👍🎣 I hope you’re doing well and getting out for a fish mate!
@@willkitching let’s go target sharks one day, maybe not in the kayak at first ha ha I’m actually keen to try my hand at it, like catching not putting hand in water ha ha
Well done Will. You pulled a fair few fish off that one log.

Great session, keep your hands in the boat 😲
Thanks MrCods! Yeah we stopped holding the fish in the water to release them after that. They all just get chucked back now 😂👍
Nice Vid mate, years ago we used to fish for and catch sharks right up close to Mt Crosby weir

I would be so scared!!! 😱
Yeah Zoey it was a bit of a shock that’s for sure! 😅 thanks for the comment

Good video Will, cheers. What type of knot were you using Will?

I’ve not experienced being sharked but I’ll bang it on the head if it tries ha ha
Hahaha it’s not a fun experience! 😂👍

@@Yaknmattkayakfishing Hahaha you’d get towed! 😂 I’ve actually never really targeted them but it does look sort of fun 👍
@@willkitching I’d pedal full thrust reverse to halt progress or pedal flat knackers after it ha ha
